Enduring values: the concept of universal and spiritual values

Man is born with various inclinations and all his life is obliged to work on himself, absorbing the eternal values of the human spirit.

What qualities are needed to be human?

Ethical norms begin to grow in us parents, but the continuation of their growth depends only on the individual. If a person does not pick up any books, he will not learn to think, limited only to comic books, American films and series for housewives, however materially successful he may be, he can not be considered a human being.

  • Respect for the stranger and your life.
  • Conscience.
  • Truth and honesty.
  • Law and observance of human rights.
  • Love and attention to one's neighbor (kindness and condescension to a certain extent).
  • Family clan.
  • Debt.
  • Industriousness.
  • Friendship.

These are enduring values that have been developed by mankind for millennia.

What did the best minds of man think?

AP Chekhov in a letter to his brother Michael in 1886 gave a very clear and soft definition of a cultural person. A brother, a gifted man, complained about how badly he lives. In his response, sent in a jokingly serious form, Chekhov gave impetus to his brother's thoughts, sending them to enduring values.

As you know, A. Chekhov squeezed out a slave. So we need to get rid of slavish feelings, without infringing on anyone's dignity. Then and only then the perpetual values will flow into our souls naturally, like breathing. Our existence in society will be more harmonious. But this must be continuously worked, making volitional efforts hourly, around the clock. M. Gorky, F. Shalyapin - people who "made" themselves.

What was Mark Twain thinking about

Is not it strange that the universally recognized humorist Mark Twain could seriously discuss such a topic as enduring values? His life was complicated and had no humor. With bitterness seeing the shortcomings of people, he could not help thinking about ethics.

What Mark Twain considered important in life:

  • Inner harmony.
  • Do not worry about what people think if you are too old or young.
  • Humor allows you to solve many problems.
  • Anger is a feeling that destroys a person.
  • The world owes you nothing. You must create your own life.
  • Do something new, but prepare yourself for not being understood.
  • Do not concentrate on problems, think about something useful.
  • To feel good, you need to help those who have difficult.
  • Do what you want, so that after years you do not regret the lost opportunities.

And if you read I. Turgenev, L. Tolstoy, A. Pushkin, then everyone will know what the universal human eternal spiritual values are.
