As for the light, in this respect, it is necessary to pay attention to the fact that the plant develops better under conditions of medium shading. Drazene is best suited to a place where there is no direct sunlight, as well as other sources of heat and cold (heaters, fans, air conditioners, etc.). In order to do this, you just need to pinch its top. Rooting of the tops or new shoots can be done in water, as well as in sand at an optimum temperature of 25 ° C. Of course, it is best to carry out these manipulations in the spring, although it can be propagated throughout the year.

Dracaena Sander is often damaged by a spider mite, mealybug and scab. The spider mite is localized on the underside of the leaf. To remove it, use a soap solution. After that, the plant is treated with insecticides (decis, phytoverm, intra-vir, actinic).

When it is infected with a mealybug, often a powdery coating is observed, which is well removed with cotton wool soaked with alcohol. There are also special preparations (actara) for processing the plant. These products are added to irrigation water once a month.

If you find immovable plaques on the leaves and stem, these are the scabbards that suck out the plant's juice, the leaves turn yellow, dry and fall off. To remove these parasites, you can use a soap solution and a sponge, after which the plant is sprayed with an actinic (0.15% solution or 2 ml of preparation per liter of water). The aphids attack the tips of the shoots and leaves from the lower side. When the aphids are affected, they curl and fall off. The plant is treated with insecticides, in case of severe damage the procedure is repeated. When buying dracaena, you should carefully inspect it for parasites on the leaves and stalk. If everything is in order, then it is unlikely that the listed pests will appear in your house.
