A very strange and very unusual puppy was born in the winter of 2002 in the US state of Virginia. A small dog was a cross between a Labrador and Chow Chow. A newborn Faith dog, accompanied by his first master, was rushed to the veterinarian. Unfortunately, the outlook was disappointing. From the doctor's words it followed that this congenital pathology is not compatible with life. The only recommendation of the doctor was the advice to put the puppy to sleep and not torment him.

By a lucky coincidence, a teacher of the American school, Judy Stringfellow, became aware of the little dog. After the woman first saw the dog, almost immediately decided to take her to her. The puppy acquired a new loving family at the age of 3 weeks.

Despite the fact that the forecasts for further development of the animal were depressing, Judy decided not to give up and at any cost go out the dog. The new pet has acquired his famous name Faith, whose translation is very symbolic and means the word "faith."

Long months of adaptation to life with two missing paws

At the age of only a few months, the grown dog Faith survived a difficult operation. As her forelegs became completely atrophied, they had to be amputated. In order to help her pet recover from the operation and adjust her to life without two forepaws, Judy quit her job and completely abandoned her pedagogical career. All the time she began to pay her darling.

First of all, Faith's dog needed to develop a sense of balance. This became the primary task of Judy, since otherwise the dog could not move on its hind legs. The hostess trained her pet daily, using the usual skateboard for training.

Also Judy used the method of encouragement known in dog training. To force Faith to stand on her hind legs and move on them, the woman constantly used all sorts of goodies. After the dog got up on his hind legs, he always received treats with his favorite peanut butter.

Limitless patience and love for Faith soon brought results. Judy more often began to appear with her ward in public, and the upright dog Faith ("faith" in English) became known throughout the world.

An example to follow

Judy decided that her Faith should be an example for those who need it. Increasingly, she began to appear with her pet in hospitals and various rehabilitation centers. The main purpose of such visits was to show people who have been traumatized or have gone through limb amputation, that their problem is not the end of a full life.

When people looked at an amazing, kind and active dog, which, without two forepaws, lived a full dog life, many returned to their own strength. Judy wanted to bring to people a truism that absolutely does not matter how a person looks outside. The main thing is to have a core inside and confidence in oneself.

A woman with her unusual Faith was often invited to all kinds of American TV shows. This, of course, also accompanied the popularity of the dog. Over time, Judy opened a charitable foundation for people with disabilities and helped the needy, not only by showing an example of her favorite.

Military career of an amazing dog

A simple dog could inspire the lives of not only ordinary people. She was taken to military hospitals and showed to soldiers who were wounded in the war during the military operations in Iraq.

Looking at an amazing animal, many military people came out of a state of prolonged depression. A joyful and active dog improved the mood of anyone who met her. Thanks to the fact that Faith gave hope to the veterans, she was awarded the rank of sergeant.
