Most people like to read a variety of literature, but do they know what a poem is? It is a large lyrical poem. This kind of literature is read in one breath, is always saturated with interesting scenes and is written exclusively in rhymed form. A poem can be a novel in verse, it is referred to a lyric-epic genre. This is the name of the ancient medieval epic. What is a poem, different sources interpret differently, but the only meaning remains - literary creativity in verse. As a rule, works are great, sometimes with hidden meaning, and the reader must think out the plot himself, read the secrets between the lines and so on.

What is a poem, known since the time of the ancient era. Often the rulers and important people of society gathered to listen to the works of great authors. Poems had many varieties: heroic, didactic, comic, satirical, lyric-dramatic and others. In ancient times, historical works were popular. At the same time, people liked romantic poems related to knights and princesses. Later, works began appearing in which philosophical problems were revealed.

One of the most famous Russian poetess of the 20th century is Anna Akhmatova. Her fate was very tragic, but in her life she created wonderful and unsurpassed masterpieces of literature. Akhmatova's poems have scattered all over the world and are still very popular. The most significant work of Anna Akhmatova is the poem "Requiem". In life, many of the poet's masterpieces were not published, as they were forbidden by censorship. Only after her death, when more than two decades had passed, Akhmatova's works began to be published. Thanks to the verses about the war, Anna Akhmatova became a well-known and respected person in the USSR. A lot of favorite people wrote poems by Akhmatova. The poem "At the Sea" won the hearts of readers, and "Through the Land" and "Russian Trianon" touched the deep strings of people's souls. But the most famous, of course, is "Requiem". This poem was dedicated to a time when people were subjected to "great terror", the people suffered and could not fight with the authorities. Akhmatova threw all this onto paper, for which she was subjected to repression and exile. "Requiem" was created from ten poems, and beginning with the fifth, the plot center of the poem, which is dedicated to Time, is described.

In that terrible period of time, people did not think much about art, about poetry, about what a poem is. But Akhmatova said: "I was with my people." On paper, she expressed the feelings that were choked by millions of people. And she wanted to inform the authorities that it was impossible to live, that the people would be broken and ruined. In the tenth chapter, Akhmatova describes a painful one - how a mother loses her son, how she suffers and can not change anything. The poet compares it to the Mother of God - as if all the mothers of the world are embodied in her image. Anna Akhmatova was keenly aware of their grief, since she herself had lost her son. She wrote with all her heart, pain and suffering. Reading her works, as if you are experiencing the sorrows and adversities that the Soviet people were exposed to.
