On paper, she expressed the feelings that were choked by millions of people. And she wanted to inform the authorities that it was impossible to live, that the people would be broken and ruined. In the tenth chapter, Akhmatova describes a painful one - how a mother loses her son, how she suffers and can not change anything. The poet compares it to the Mother of God - as if all the mothers of the world are embodied in her image. Anna Akhmatova was keenly aware of their grief, since she herself had lost her son.
