Valery Uskov is a director who does not need a presentation. The audience remembers him on such cult TV projects as "Eternal Call", "Shadows disappear at noon", created in creative tandem with friend Vladimir Krasnopolsky. There is a master and more modern paintings, through which his popularity remains unchanged. So, what interesting details are known about the biography of the master, what films and television series should he watch first?

Valery Uskov: biographical information

The birthplace of the famous director is Ekaterinburg (in the past Sverdlovsk) - it was there that he was born in 1933 in the family of an agronomist and a doctor. Childhood of the boy passed in a creative atmosphere, the mother and father were seriously fond of the theater. All school years Valery Uskov sat at a desk with his cousin Vladimir, who became his best friend for him . It can be said that his fruitful duet with Krasnopolsky was formed just then. In addition to the school, the children visited the drama circle, together they created a puppet theater popular with children.

Valery Uskov became a student of VGIK in 1957. By that time, he already had a journalist diploma and a small work experience in the specialty, but the desire to become a director, which appeared in his childhood, was victorious. In VGIK in the same year and the same faculty (film documentalism), Vladimir entered. Diploma work of the director was the tape "The slowest train", which he shot together with Krasnopolsky.

The filmography of this man is not so small. Valery Uskov has about 30 paintings in his box, most of them are the fruits of a creative tandem with a cousin. The most successful films and the director's series deserve special consideration.

"Shadows disappear at noon" (1972)

The plot of the saga, which includes seven series, was taken from the work of Anatoly Ivanov. The action takes place in a small village of Green Dol, located in the Siberian wilderness. The well-to-do family hides here from the Soviet authorities, hiding their origins. The saga covers a 70-year period, showing typical for that time human tragedies, considering historically significant problems. It is interesting that Valery Ivanovich "wrote off" the characters of some characters from his own parents.

The painting, which was published in 1972, became a grandiose event, made a huge impression on the audience. The original version did not pass censorship, the creators had to rid their offspring of some scenes, mainly related to arrests and interrogations. Cut pieces were seen only close friends of the directors.

The Eternal Call (1973)

The television series, which turned out to be much more ambitious than the previous project, includes two seasons. This work is recognized by critics as the best of everything that Valery Uskov ever created. The director, as always, co-authored with Krasnopolsky, removed the history of the 60-year historical period by putting an ordinary family in the center of events. The Savelievs were forced to survive three devastating wars, a coup d'état and its aftermath. From the characters it was required to constantly balance between hatred and love, make vital decisions.

In 1996, the creators mounted a new version of the series, supplementing it with remote episodes. Like "Shadows disappear at noon," the picture was a great success with the public, it was repeatedly awarded with prestigious awards.

"Wolf Messing: A Look Through Time" (2009)

The main character of the telenovela is a really existing character, ranked among the most mysterious personalities of the last century. Messing was born in a poor Jewish family, as a child, he learned independence, worked as a laborer, until his telepathic talent was revealed. This man went down in history as a fortune-teller of Nazi Germany, Stalin's personal astrologer.

Valery Uskov's films are not always warmly received by critics, it happened with this picture. The main complaint that was presented to the television series is to work with unproven facts, of which Messing's biography is half. However, the TV project won popularity with the audience.

What else to see

Uskov and Krasnopolsky in 2002, the series "Two Fates" was started, which included 4 seasons. The action begins in the 60's, in the center of the plot is the life of two girlfriends, not similar to each other. The plot turn is quite predictable - friendship ends when a man stands between the girls. In 2008, the shooting of the series was discontinued, the fault of which were falling ratings.

The last at the moment, the work of Uskov - the telenovela "Funny Life". The main heroine is a pensioner, forced to move from the village to the capital to her son. Moving the mother-in-law categorically does not suit the son's wife.

These are the most famous film projects of Valery Uskov, shot by him in tandem with Vladimir Krasnopolsky. Fans of the master can only hope for new exciting films and television series.
