In Russian, this rigidity is not felt strongly, but in the original language there is a word of determination - a very strong desire to do this or that action, unshakable determination. The result is a narrowing of the value - and at the output we have a deterministic notion. It is nothing but "certain."

This word is not used without indicating the source of determination, that is, the directing or limiting agent. For example, deterministic factors are factors that are influenced. Usually it is specified which. Violent deterministic behavior is behavior caused and caused by a suffering effect. It is necessary to explain which factor became the starting one, otherwise the linguistic construction will be incomplete.

Black swan and markets

In economics they say that this or that behavior of the market was caused by some or other actions. What's funny is that most such conclusions are made after it's over, then they say the word "deterministic".

This is not just a problem of the economy, but it manifests itself particularly clearly in it. Niklas Nassim Taleb, influential modern philosopher and friend of David Cameron, argues that the financial sphere is subject to the influence of so-called "black swans" - significant events affecting many people whose scale is unpredictable. Most of the life spheres are not subject to ordering, and therefore do not leave pure mathematics the term "deterministic"? This would allow the word to be used much more accurately.

Choose the method correctly!

Let us consider another example of the use of a word. Let's take the "deterministic method". This phrase should be used when the approach to the decision must be chosen, based on the conditions of the problem. That is, the number of methods is narrowed. For example, it is extremely undesirable to solve complex mathematical problems by a selection method, at least manually. "Guessing" by computer can be justified in some cases, but in this case we say that the approach to solving the problem is determined by its features, we can not take any method and get the result.

Outside science - rarely

On you the concept of determination is depressing? Well, it is used in a very narrow sense and only in a scientific style. That is, it is unlikely that you will often come across him - if you hear a word from the rostrum, it means that the scientist with a burning eye was mistakenly mistaken for her.

But the term "deterministic" helps to reduce chaos in the knowledge of mankind, at least it claims it. And if it is only a matter of narrow mathematical knowledge, then its use will be justified and meaningful.

The word "deterministic" will be useful for the authors of course and diploma works, and not only in the spheres of exact sciences. There are also border science, in which this concept is welcomed - linguistics, medicine. Only now during the feast better not to use this word - do not understand.
