A few words about the designer himself

Anna Sui was born in August 1964. From the very childhood, she was attracted to the fashion world. After graduating from high school in Detroit, Michigan, Sui moved to New York City to enroll in Parsons School. Her first work in the fashion industry was the role of stylist for the photographs of one of the best photographers Stephen Meisel and editor for the Italian fashion magazine.

In 1980, Sui decided to move on and started her own business. For the first time her office was her own apartment.

In 1991, her first show on the catwalks took place. The New York Times immediately called her style a mixture of everyday and haute couture. In the same year Anna Sui moved the company and the exhibition hall from the apartment. In 1992, she opened her first boutique, and in 1993 won a prestigious award for fashion industry figures. From that moment on all America, and also in Japan began to open its boutiques.

In 1999, she successfully launched her cosmetic firm, which every year becomes only richer for interesting research in the field of beauty and fashion. At the same time, the first perfume appeared in the shops of the USA, Europe and Japan.
