History of the plant from creation to the present day

One of the oldest enterprises of Dagestan is the Derbent sparkling wine factory. All the traditions of the Dagestan winemaking were preserved to the fullest extent, while complementing it with modern technologies.

The plant, founded in the 19th century, is located in the southernmost point of Russia, between the most beautiful mountains of the Caucasus and the Caspian Sea. The company carries out a full production cycle: from growing, collecting and processing its own grapes to the production of sparkling wine. The heart of the factory is the cellar. It is here that the best "Derbent" champagne of the republic is carefully preserved. Today the enterprise produces 200,000 bottles of wine and champagne a day.

Vineyards and wine production

Until 2009, the company did not own its own vineyards. All the necessary wine materials were purchased abroad. In the same year, the plant rented 1,000 hectares of land. They planted seedlings of grape varieties Chardonnay, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Aligote, Augustine, Riesling and others. After 3 years, another 300 hectares were additionally leased. For watering vineyards, a drip irrigation system is used .
