Dallon Weeks: Biography and Creativity

Dallon Wicks is an American musician, songwriter, performer. He was born in Salt Lake City in 1981, on May 4. Dallon is backing vocalist and bass player of Panic! At the Disco. He also created an independent band The Brobecks. There he performs as a performer, bass player and songwriter.

Early period

Dallon Weeks was born in a small town. He is the second of four children. He was raised in Clearfield in a Mormon family. In Utah, the parents moved after the birth of our hero. The future musician studied at Clearfield in High School. There he became acquainted with the majority of future colleagues in the collective The Brobecks.

After graduating from school, a young man in 1999 served in Oklahoma as a Mormon missionary. He engaged in this activity for two years. When our hero returned home, he became a student at Weber University. A lot of time he was engaged in music.

The Brobecks

Dallon Weeks took the band as a simple hobby. He came to Utah, after spending two years in Oklahoma.

The name of the collective The Brobecks was given by one of the school friends of the founder. In the original composition of the group, Dallon Wicks himself entered. He was joined by two of his school friends: Matt Glass and Scott Jones. Several years have passed. The group recorded basement demo versions of compositions, toured and changed compositions. As a result, the team received a contract with Drive-Thru Records.

Our hero twice received offers from Sony BMG, as well as one indie label about taking up a solo career and leaving the band. The musician both refused. Later, he separately stressed that he did not intend to leave colleagues in the team.

After a while, the group was joined by two more friends - Brian Shimanski and Mike Gross. They took the place of the pianist and guitarist. In this part of the team operated until 2003. At this point, Jones left the team. He was replaced by Casey Durrance. In this composition the collective recorded the first demo album. The record was not yet complete, but the musicians have already begun to give concerts. Live performances soon attracted fans, and the grounds filled with the public.

After several months of touring and Durrance left the band. Nevertheless, the activity of the collective is not too much affected, and soon there was a second album called Happiest Nuclear Winter. After the official presentation of the record, the team went on tour.

Panic! At the Disco

Dallon Weeks became a member of the band in 2009. He was assigned the functions of backing vocalist and bass player on a temporary basis.

But the "tour" status of the musician changed in 2010. At that time, the band had tours in China. It was then that Spencer Smith and Brandon Uri asked our hero to join the team for a long time. However, the musician himself confirmed his full participation in the band only in 2012.

After the tour, Weeks, Smith and Uri worked in the studio and prepared the fourth album. The new record was announced in 2013 and was called Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die. The release was scheduled for October 8 of the same year. Our hero worked hard on this record. The rights to the bonus track called All the Boys at Night belong to Wicks.

To promote the album, the single Miss Jackson was created. It was published on July 15 of the same year. For him, a clip was filmed. A rumor spread that Dallon Weeks left Panic! At the Disco, however it was not confirmed. The band went on tour in Europe and the US to support the new album. The team performed the composition Miss Jackson in Moscow at the contest "Miss Universe". And in January and February 2014, the tour of the USA, Mexico and Australia was on.

On March 18, 2006, the musician married a model and actress from Los Angeles. The couple have two children. My daughter's name is Amelie Olivia Weeks. The son was named Knox Oliver. The family lives in Southern California.
