"Cupid" (boat): technical characteristics, photo

The Gagarin Aircraft Plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur is the leading industrial association of the defense complex. In 1968, the enterprise started production of a small series of motor boat "Amur". The boat, whose technical characteristics allowed it to be classed as premium-class boats, was further developed in several modifications. Initially, production was planned as one of the promising areas of the aircraft plant. Since 1999, for ten years, the production of small vessels "Amur" was carried out at a subsidiary enterprise.

Seaworthiness

Before proceeding to the detailed description, it is necessary to consider for what purpose the boat "Amur" was designed. Technical characteristics of the vessel assume its operation on fresh water reservoirs: rivers and lakes. The use of anticorrosive alloys in some modifications allows the use in marine environments. The ship has a large margin of stability, good driving performance. Depending on the model, use is permitted at a wave height of 75 cm to 1.2 meters. Removal from the shoreline can reach 5 km. Engineers-designers, designing the boat, worked on improving the seaworthiness properties and the comfort of the vessel. A swivel-folding column was a successful transformation. Raising the cheekbones and narrowing the bow made it possible to reduce the impact force from the waves. The change in the bottom plane increased the hydrodynamics of the vessel, it was possible to facilitate the launch of the boat onto the glider.

Boat description

"Amur" - a boat, the technical characteristics of which in all subsequent modifications are practically unchanged. The designers set the primary task of improving the ship, especially without changing it. The hull of the boat is riveted-welded, the material of manufacture is aluminum-magnesium alloy. Deck and bottom stringer are fixed by the method of point welding. When building a deck with a deckhouse, an aluminum alloy D16AT is used. The pointed shape of the body contour has an average plane of the bottom, high cheekbones at the nasal extremity. Deck sides are 1.5 mm thick, the bottom shell is 2.5 mm. Ten frames in a transverse set guarantee rigidity of the hull of the vessel. "Amur" - a boat, whose weight in the empty state is 540 kg. Foam blocks, fixed in the skin, will allow the boat in case of damage to remain afloat.

The hull of the ship consists of three parts. The forepaw is separated from the cockpit by a partition. In the nose compartment you can get through the hatch, located on the deck. The middle part of the boat, the cockpit, is equipped with folding seats and a sofa. Under the sofa there is a spacious trunk for storing things. The steering wheel with the control panel is on the left. Fuel tanks with a capacity of 100 liters are located in the sides.

The next compartment behind the cockpit is the engine compartment. The first models of the "Amur" oblique bottom of the bottom, with a direct propeller shaft passing through it from the reverse gear. Subsequent modifications were improved, with the help of a swing-and-fold column, the propeller was transferred to the engine compartment. The area of the cockpit became larger, and the vibration from the engine was significantly reduced. The engine compartment is closed with hatches on the rear deck. The boat is equipped with the engine "Moskvich-412".

General technical parameters

In the basic configuration, there are uniform parameters of all modifications of the vessel "Amur". Boat, the technical characteristics of which assume the main purpose of the use of the vessel for tourist walks, has a constant length of 5.5 meters, width - 1.84, height - 1.3. The motor vessel is equipped with navigation lights, a searchlight, an audible signal. The electric starter, which starts the main engine, first appeared on this ship. All devices on the control panel are equipped with a backlight. Electricity is supplied from a generator or battery, which is located in the aft compartment. According to the number of passengers, the ship is defined as a five-seater "Amur" boat. Technical characteristics (cargo capacity of a vessel) allow to contain not less than 500 kg. The converted engine "Moskvich-412" - carburetor variant, four-stroke, four-cylinder, with a maximum capacity of 60 liters. from. The boat is quite comfortable, good seaworthiness and safety of use attract the attention of tourism enthusiasts. The cost of the Amur motor ship during the Soviet era was comparable to that of a car, so, despite the good reviews and free sale, it was not available to everyone. At present, the production of boats is stopped. When purchasing a second-hand vessel, it should be borne in mind that its price will depend on the operating conditions and technical details.

Awning

The entire model range of the vessel is equipped with a folding awning. The place of its storage - between the stern sofa and the partition of the engine compartment. Frame awning is waterproof, ventilated, which allows it to be used for weather protection. The manufacturer offered a warranty replacement of the original tent.

The lineup

"Amur" - a boat, the technical characteristics of which have been constantly improved throughout the history of production. The material for manufacturing the hull of the first serial Amur and Amur-M is duralumin. Basic models with large overall draft could be used only in freshwater reservoirs. They were motor boats with an inclined propeller shaft and an angular gear. "Amur-D" was modified to use a swing-out column, which allows to obtain the following advantages: at speed it easily overcomes the floating obstacle without damages, confidently continues the movement, it easily passes a moderate shallow water. Lifting the column, you can easily replace the screw directly on the water. The possibility of operating the vessel in sea conditions became possible after the material of the hull was an aluminum-magnesium alloy. "Amur-2" became the first in the family equipped with a two-seated cabin. The boat "Vostok" of the water-jet type was assembled according to the scheme "Cupids". The lower part of it was also made of an alloy, so that it could be used in sea and fresh water.

Boat "Amur-M"

The basic model is a tourist boat "Amur-M". The technical characteristics of the motor vessel, produced since 1972, after the test tests were improved by designers. A system for pumping water out of the hold has been introduced. Under the fasteners of the reverse gear, rubber shock absorbers were installed, which reduced the noise from the engine. In 1978, the plant began to produce a sea boat "Amur", the technical characteristics of which guarantee a resistance to the effects of marine climate. When operating the vessel, you should be careful on the small stroke, because of the deep draft, the protruding propellers and the propeller shaft may break.

Boat "Amur-D"

The "Amur-D" boat became the heir of the "Amur-M" model. The technical characteristics of the vessel remained practically unchanged. The main modification was aimed at increasing the maximum deck height, the coaming was extended by 6 cm, the height of the bead on the midships was 11 cm. Also, the designers changed the inclination of the transom to 10 °. Changes in the design allow you to enter the sea at a wave height of up to 1 meter. Removal from the coastline is possible by 5000 meters. Also "Amur-D" is characterized by Z-drive of the steering and steering unit. The engine compartment is closed with two covers. Special blinds on the sides provide free ventilation of the engine compartment. The quick-detachable wall of the frame allowed to make the service process the most convenient. The next improved models were the cabin "Amur-2" and the open "Amur-3".

Boat "Amur-2"

The first model with a covered cabin for two places is the "Amur-2" boat. The technical characteristics are similar to the previous model, the main changes occurred in the exterior design of the vessel. The weight of the boat became heavier by 80 kg, but this did not affect the speed. By reducing the area of the engine compartment, it was possible to place two adjustable armchairs and a sofa between the cabin and the engine. Access to the trunk, located in the forepeak, is organized through the hatch in the cabin. The cabin glazing is deaf. Sealing profiles ensure watertightness. The cabin is 115 centimeters high. On the roof there is a ventilation hatch. The seats in the wheelhouse are transformed into a berth. In the sides of the seats and under them are organized storage areas. There are lighting, a folding table, a clothes hanger. The control panel, installed on the edge of the deckhouse, is protected from wind and splashing with glass.

Boat "Amur-3"

On the basis of "Amur-2" was prepared for the serial production of the boat "Amur-3". Specifications remained the same. The model differs from the previous one only in the absence of a covered deckhouse. The material properties assume exploitation in marine conditions. From the rain will protect the easily removable frame awning, which is included in the basic equipment.

Boat "Amur Vodomet"

In 1982, the production of a boat with a water jet propulsion unit "Vostok" was launched. The project of the vessel was developed on the basis of the boat "Amur-3". The design of the model differs from the rear of the case. The engine compartment is closed by a quick-release hood, made of thermo-soundproof material. In the stern there are removable seats separated by a motor; In front - three seats, transforming into sleeping places. In the bow provides storage space. Cockpit is closed by a frame tent, which is folded around the last frame. The special rubber profile of the hull protects the boat "Amur-Vodomet" from mooring damage. The technical characteristics when using a water jet propulsion device increase with respect to the speed of the vessel. The water cannon, for the sake of rational location, is placed behind the transom. Control is carried out by changing the direction of the jet ejected from the nozzle. The boat retains its maneuverability.

disadvantages

When operating the boat, the main drawback was found - a strong vibration even on a small wave transmitted to the body. The main negative quality can provoke the appearance of leaks in riveted joints, and vibration also causes considerable inconvenience to passengers.

The motor boat "Amur" was produced by the defense enterprise for fans of recreation on the water or fishermen. He fell in love with ship owners for his excellent characteristics, reliability, good handling, safety of use. At present, the production of boats and components to them is closed, the ship is slowly losing its credibility due to the difficulties with technical maintenance. However, those interested can find information about the possibility of replacing spare parts for analogs in numerous forums and thematic sites.
