The general principles of any of them are based on such external influences, which form a stimulus for more active actions in each individual employee. Motivation is organizational, material and psychological. Let's consider each of the options in more detail.

Organizational method

Increasing employees' own skills, gaining new knowledge and skills often plays a very big role in having a desire to work. This also includes opportunities for professional growth, promotions and other attractive prospects. Organizational methods of motivation are to give employees an incentive by organizing seminars and trainings for them at the expense of the company. It is also effective to involve employees in the affairs of the company.

Material incentive

This method is best suited for recruitment of new employees. Where it is less effective for a long time working in the company's staff. Nevertheless, due to its simplicity and ease of execution, material methods of motivation are the most common. It is important not to abuse this stimulus, otherwise it will cease to be meaningful for people. All kinds of bonuses and incentives should be issued no more than once in six months or a year. Otherwise, employees will begin to perceive them as part of their wages.

Psychological approach

This method is undoubtedly the most difficult to implement. At the same time, one must remember that moral and psychological motivation shows the highest efficiency among other methods of increasing labor productivity. It is based on the formation of a stable opinion among people about the work being done. The key tasks here are: developing a sense of responsibility for their activities, understanding its importance for the company, professional pride in the work performed.

For successful application of this method, it is necessary to create an appropriate atmosphere. It is good, if the employees have a chance to show their creative abilities or independently develop new ideas that allow improving the work process (but not detrimental to the company's overall image).

Tips for the leader

When choosing a motivational tool, you must first rely on the expectations of your employees. Depending on them, this or that method may prove ineffective. How do you know the wishes of the staff? Here, all available means (from direct interviews to the filling in of anonymous questionnaires) will come to the rescue. Based on the information received, it is necessary to draw up the whole plan of further actions of the head.

It is also important to remember that human expectations, aspirations and needs are not some static indicator. They dynamically change depending on the state of society, political moods and economic stability. Thus, it would be prudent to periodically change the habitual scheme of employee motivation, introducing constructive changes into it.
