Before the final appearance at the box office, the film "Scary Beautiful" was waiting for a lot of difficulties.

Strike of writers led to the stop of filming. The transfer of the release date was also due to the fact that at the same time the public was expecting the release of another film - the youth drama "The Double Life of Charlie San Cloud". The main role in it was performed by Zac Efron. It was Vanessa Ann Hudgens, his girlfriend and partner in the "Classical Musical", persuaded the distributors to postpone the premiere, so that the perception from both films would not overlap. By the way, the film "Scary Beautiful" attracted Zac Efron. He, like the "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson, was the contender for the lead role.
