Cardiovascular dystonia: manifestations and treatment

Cardiovascular dystonia is a complex of symptoms from the vessels, heart and other systems when the vegetative system is not working properly.

Manifestations of this syndrome are diverse. Among doctors there is no unequivocal opinion regarding the symptoms of the disease. Otherwise, cardiovascular dystonia is called vegetative neurosis, psychovegetative syndrome, neurocirculatory dystonia.

Functions of the nervous system

  • Preservation and maintenance of constancy in the internal environment (temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, sweating, respiratory rate, metabolic rate in the body);
  • Mobilization of the body's systems to adapt to the changing conditions of the external environment (mental and physical work, stress, climate change and weather).

Very often therapists and the patients themselves are skeptical about this disease, however, without a competent and timely treatment, the quality of a person's life deteriorates with time.

Causes of the disease

Finding the cause of dystonia is actually not so difficult. Usually, several studies are performed: vascular diagnostics and cardiogram. Depending on the results, a suitable treatment is prescribed.

Additional studies - such as electrocardiography with a load on a veloergometer, ultrasound of the heart, cardiointervalography. These methods allow eliminating heart disease.

It is often found that dystonia is a manifestation of another disease. It can be depression and neurosis, cervical vertebrae diseases , brain injuries, endocrine gland diseases, allergies, gastrointestinal diseases, infection, overwork.

Symptoms of dystonia

Cardiovascular dystonia is manifested by irregular blood pressure, headaches, dizziness, palpitations and cardiac irregularities, fainting, sensations of a wave of fever or chills, sweating, meteorological dependence. Patients feel weakness, fatigue, lethargy. Their hands and feet usually freeze. Body temperature ranges from 35 to 37 degrees. Often there are pains in the abdomen and digestive disorders, pain in different parts of the body with a deep sigh.

Cardiovascular dystonia requires an integrated approach to the entire body during treatment.

Treatment of dystonia

Physiotherapeutic methods are mainly used in treatment. This - therapeutic gymnastics and hydromassage. With severe symptoms, good results are obtained from acupuncture, manual therapy, phytotherapy. Cardiovascular dystonia can be treated well. The choice of treatment methods should be fully entrusted to the doctor after the recommended studies. Often under dystonia, another disease is masked, and in treatment it must be eliminated.

First of all, you should try to avoid stressful situations and emotional disruptions. Try on time and fully rest.

Thus, cardiovascular dystonia is treated with the regulation of the mental state, and not medically.
