Car overview Opel Agila
Since 2000, Opel has started production of Opel Agila cars. It should be noted that this model, which includes two generations of cars, accommodates two different types of bodywork - a minivan and a hatchback.
So, the first generation is represented by a minivan, since Agila initially had very compact dimensions. And after, following the wishes of customers, the car "grew up" and turned into a hatchback.
But back to basics. In general, Opel Aguila is not a car produced by Opel. In fact, before this machine went on sale, a wave of new fashion - a fashion for miniature cars - swept the world market. Of course, the company immediately set a goal to fill this niche with its own model, but it was not possible to spend time and money on creating something radically new. Therefore, an agreement was concluded with Japan (Suzuki) and the company Opel proceeded to re-model the Wargon R + model. So the first Agila "A" appeared.
As already mentioned above, all the first modifications of this model were minivans. Among them was the Opel Agila 2001.
There is a difference between the Agilo of the first generation and its Japanese counterpart. It is not only in appearance, but also in the characteristics of engines - in volume 1 and 1.2 liters, they have more power. Variants of transmission in the minivan offered two - a mechanical (5 speeds) and a four-speed automatic box.
After several years of successful sales, the company decided to release the second generation of Opel Agila, the basis for which was the car Suzuki Splash. The model marked with the letter "B" appeared on the market in 2008 and became a pleasant surprise for its admirers. From the previous generation, it is large in size - the length and width of the body have increased by 20 and 6 centimeters, respectively, and the height, on the contrary, has decreased. This change had a positive effect on the exterior of the car, making it more elegant.
The interior of both generations is discreet and elegant, the panel is discreet.
The engines of Opel Agila remained the same - 1 and 1.2 liters, issuing 64 and 85 horses, respectively. The only update is the possibility of installing a diesel 1.3 engine with a capacity of 74 horsepower.
What is noteworthy, with fairly good characteristics, both generations of this car have a very small expense - just over 5 liters of fuel per hundred kilometers.
Ironically, Opel Agila - this original, economical, convenient and very powerful for its dimensions car, has small sales even in their homeland. What can we say about Russia, in which the official delivery of this machine is not carried out at all.
