Capsulated retinol: the main effect of the drug on the skin

Known for all its benefits for sight, vitamin A, which has another name - retinol, has a positive effect on the skin. This miraculous property was discovered by scientists relatively recently. This fat-soluble vitamin is concentrated in products of animal origin (liver, fish oil).

Many mothers and grandmothers, taking care of children's health, diligently poured spoonfuls of fish oil into resisting carapaces. Modern children are much simpler in this respect - capsular retinol was invented for them, the main effect and properties of which did not change from the encapsulation (capsule), but the problem of unpleasant taste when swallowing disappeared. But the main beneficial properties of retinol are associated with its effect on the skin. How? Let's consider more in detail.

Capsulated retinol: what is it?

Initially retinol was used as a cure for acne (acne). As a result of its use, the skin became healthier in appearance, and the rashes gradually disappeared. The data of researches have shown, that long application of the given substance is capable to slow down processes of aging of a skin. This property was taken as a basis for manufacturers of cosmetics. But due to the fact that light and air act on retinol is destructive, in cosmetic products it is contained in a capsule form.

Among other things, this vitamin reduces the likelihood of skin irritation. Therefore, today, skin care products contain capsular retinol, the main action of which is aimed at rejuvenation and skin regeneration.

Features

Retinol is a kind of vitamin A, which also has other forms (retinoids) with derivatives and synthetic analogues. To prolong youth skin vitamin A is represented in cosmetology:

  • A true retinol;
  • Its ethers (acetates, palmitates, etc.);
  • Retinaldehyde;
  • Retinoic acid.

It turns out that the true retinol and its ethers are different forms of vitamin A.

Encapsulated retinol: basic action

The only effective form of vitamin A, beneficially affecting the skin - pure retinoic acid. Other components of the vitamin after reaching the skin pass the following cycle of chemical transformations: acetate (palmitate) - true retinol - retinaldehyde - retinoic acid.

It, in addition to unique properties, provides the most pronounced effect among other forms of vitamin A. Acid-based products perfectly "suppress" the appearance of wrinkles and other symptoms of skin aging. The medicine is prescription because of its strong irritant effect on the skin. Anti-aging cosmetics are made using more sparing forms of miracle vitamin.

Not so long ago a new patented stabilized form of retinaldehyde appeared on the US market. Trademark IconicA presented a technology that uses encapsulated retinol. The action of this technique excludes the decomposition of retinaldehyde upon contact with the skin cells during conversion into retinoic acid, which multiplies the effect of such cosmetic products.

Opinion of specialists

The effect of retinoic acid on the epidermis and deeper layers of the skin stimulates the production of collagen. How noticeable the results will be, directly depends on the amount of capsulin retinol used in the cream.

The effects of retinol:

  • The fight against acne is due to the elimination of hyperkeratosis of the epithelium and a decrease in the secretion of the secretion of the sebaceous glands, as well as the dissolution of the substance that forms acne.
  • Reducing the thickness of the upper layer of the epidermis - keratinized cells peel off more quickly, and the skin with a more even structure looks fresh.
  • Increase the thickness of the final layers of the epidermis - by reducing the evaporation of moisture.
  • Strengthening the production of collagen and elastin - wrinkles on the face are not so deep, and the skin is more elastic, which provides a rejuvenating effect.
  • Enhance the production of hyaluronic acid.
  • Clearing of pigment spots.

Efficiency versus concentration

Usually in cosmetic products the retinol content does not exceed 1/10 percent, in some products its concentration is 4 times higher, and only one means contain 1% (or slightly more) of this substance. Most of the manufacturers do not indicate its concentration on the package.

The most acceptable for anti-aging products is capsular retinol, the main content of which in cosmetics ranges from 0.1-1%. This concentration allows to provide the expected therapeutic effect, but does not cause aggressive skin reactions. In addition, it can be safely used at any age.

As for effective products in the modern market, creams containing retinol are produced by such well-known cosmetics manufacturers as "Avon" (cream "Enyu"), "Garnier" ("Ultra-lifting"), "Vichy" ("Lifting -Retinol ")" La Roche "(" Redermic ") and many others.

Potential consumers of "juvenile" cosmetics

Dermatologists and cosmetologists consider anti-aging cosmetics with retinol an excellent prevention of skin aging and a good way to align its tone and structure with the appearance of the first signs of wilting.

Experts recommend the use of capsulated retinol, the main effect of which is the fight against age-related changes, no earlier than 30 years - this period is characterized by the appearance of the first signs of skin fatigue.

Qualitative cosmetic products with retinol should be used in patients with:

  • Skin encountered with initial signs of aging;
  • Pigmented, "uneven" skin;
  • Thin, sensitive or irritable skin.

If you are striving to achieve significant improvements ("invisibility" of wrinkled mesh, a significant increase in the elasticity of the skin, a pronounced smoothing of the texture), the medications with retinol are unlikely to help. For such purposes, products where pure retinoic acid is contained in a concentration of 0.025-0.05% are needed.

Contraindications

Do not forget that the drugs with retinol are not indicated for use by all. Such cosmetics is contraindicated:

  • Pregnant and lactating mothers;
  • Oncological patients and patients with severe course of any disease;
  • People with inflammation on the skin of the face and neck, as well as patients with herpes;
  • Those who take vitamin A in a different form.

Before using, it is best to consult a doctor.
