Today, the KamAZ-65115 dump truck is equipped with a six-cylinder diesel CUMMINS 6ISBe 285 (corresponding to Euro-3) with a power of 282 horsepower and a speed of 2500 rpm. The working volume of the engine is 6.7 liters. Also, the engine is equipped with a turbocharged supercharger with mandatory cooling of the supplied air flow.

With this motor, a nine-speed gearbox ZF 9S1310 with a range of transmission ratios of 9.48-0.75 is interfaced. The engine and the box are interconnected by a single-disk diaphragm clutch equipped with a hydraulic drive and pneumatic booster.

To quickly start the engine in the winter period of the year is provided pre-starting liquid engine heating.

In addition, there are two more versions of the car with much stronger engines of the same brand. Their engines have a power of 300 and 325 liters. from. The fuel consumption is about 210 g / hp.

Wheels

Brakes

As a brake system, special drums are used, the diameter of which is 400 millimeters, and the width is 140 millimeters. The drive at the brakes is pneumatic, it allows to effectively stop the KamAZ-65115 dump truck, the full weight of which in the loaded condition may well reach 25.5 tons.

Driving cab

The truck has a driver's cab with an increased roof height and a new seat compared to its predecessors. It is worth noting the presence of lateral support from the driver's seat. Also changed was the instrument panel, equipped with a large number of control lamps. Unfortunately, the steering column, as before, has no adjustments.

For more convenient access to the cockpit, a pair of steps are provided, allowing the driver of any height to climb without difficulty. A clear view of the environment is provided by two panoramic glasses. The seat itself is a box cover with tools, the number of which (supplied with the machine) is 24 pieces.

Sufficiently powerful headlamps are used as lighting devices. Passive high-level safety is ensured by a shockproof plastic lining located on the front bumper.

KamAZ-65115 is a dump truck, the characteristics of which fully reflect its high productivity, it is very unpretentious in practice and reliable enough. Among its main data are:
