If before all the cabinets looked like twin brothers because of the uniformity of their design and a similar appearance, the modern market provides a truly wide range of options. And the variety of materials allows the average person not to puzzle over the question: "Where to order a built-in wardrobe?" After all, with a certain skill, everyone who wants today can build a unique built-in closet with his own hands, choose the appropriate design and construction.

Undoubtedly, the appearance of your cabinet depends on the options for execution. However, not the least role in this is played by the material from which the built-in wardrobe of the compartment is made with their own hands. It depends on the duration of operation of the entire structure, and aesthetics, and compliance with the general interior of the room, so before you begin to create a cabinet, you need to know what it consists of, and what materials are better to use.

We choose the material

The most durable is mahogany, which has a certain advantage over other valuable species of wood in the form of a special pattern of fibers. If the mahogany does not suit you, then you can pay attention to the oak or beech. And if finances are allowed, then, of course, it is better not to find Karelian birch .

More recently, the furniture market has a new material - MDF, which is an analog of our chipboard. MDF panels are inferior to natural material both in quality and in pattern of fibers, however, furniture from them is less expensive. And modern technologies give the opportunity to create imitation of valuable wood species for facades.

Internal shelves and the case itself are also made of MDF or chipboard, of course, if it is not elite furniture. Another use is a carpenter's board, veneered or covered with a plywood sheet.

Returning to the theme of the facade of the wardrobe, I want to note that the material can act as wood, and sheets of particleboard and MDF, glass and laminated panels, with a mirror and a simple surface, tinted with a car foil, preventing damage. By the way, in some cases, you can even pick plates "tamburato" - door leaves made of hardboard with paper filler on a wooden frame. The latter are considered to be a fairly strong material, also inexpensive and easy.

Fittings

And now let's talk about the "interior" of the closet, or, more simply, the hardware. Naturally, the accessories must be of high quality, so that the doors open easily and quickly, do not "move out", do not jam. Since the built-in cabinet of the compartment with its own hands assumes the presence of sliding doors, the mechanisms of fastening and sliding for them are especially important. Thus, sliding systems consist of a sliding support and a profile (steel or aluminum) of a closed or open type. Roller mechanisms are on bearings or axial, with the first preferable: only the bearing mechanism is additionally equipped with a special system of protection against impact.

Design

The built-in wardrobe is noteworthy in that there is no need to make a full-scale case. These cabinets have only three walls (perhaps even without the top, if you make the built-in wardrobe compartment with your own hands to the full height of the ceilings in the apartment).

As for the offices and the shelves, the most important thing here is to determine exactly what you need for a wardrobe. If this is a corner cabinet in the bedroom, then you can do with shelves with fixed bars and a compartment for shoes. If you intend to turn this type of furniture into a full-fledged storehouse of all your "things you need on the farm" (products, utensils, chemistry, books, etc.), then you can pick up different baskets, shelves, nets, drawers.
