Boric acid. Application

Boric acid powder is used for powders. It is injected into the diseased ear, and also used for drops on alcohol solution.

In aqueous and alcohol solutions, boric acid is used to treat skin diseases: a solution is made by washing the skin, rinsing the pharynx, pharynx, and washing the urinary tract. The disease "pyoderma" requires drying the foci of the disease, so use an alcohol solution of this acid as an antiseptic to wipe and wash the skin near the outbreaks, preventing itching.

Ointment, powders and alcohol solution 5-10% - all this is boric acid. Its use in this form has the function of a disinfectant and contributes to the elimination of itching in patients with progressive dermatoses. With the diagnosis "flowering lichen", you can apply a solution a few times a day to spots that appear on the chest and back (or other parts of the body). In three days, if the result is negative, you will have to see the doctor again.

Sometimes after shaving in women in places where the skin is the most tender - underarms, on the genitals, there are redness, pimples and bloating. The cause may be a dirty, poorly washed machine, which you shave, try to use disposable machines. In this case, boric acid can help, the application is as follows: wash the solution three to four times a day, wait until it dries, then put on clothes. If possible, then sit at home in a sleeveless robe for a couple of days.

Boric acid. Application: ear and inflammation

Today, among doctors there are different opinions about the drug in question and different approaches to methods of treating ear disorders. The processes of inflammation in the middle ear (otitis media) contribute to the accumulation of fluid in it. The natural outflow is complicated by the obstruction of the Eustachian tube. The liquid presses on the eardrum, which also starts inflammation. As a result - a rupture (perforation) of the tympanic membrane.

If the pus flows from the ear , then there is a gap. With old methods of treatment, boric acid was used. The application could be different: compresses, drops and rinses, which often led to auditory dermatitis.

Today some doctors call this acid a cellular poison. Its use in treatment is reduced. There are many modern drugs that can help before the appearance of pus to stop inflammation and reduce soreness in the ear. Otipax, camphor or olive oil (warm, warm), Otinum + Lidocaine, Otium, Polydex. If the process of purulent inflammation begins, then drops with antibiotic content will help: Normax, Otof or ciprofloxacin. Here, boric acid is no longer needed. The use of any of the medicines must be prescribed by a doctor.

Ear disease is a very serious illness. It is better to warn her, taking care of hearing preservation, than to treat your ears all your life.

If you do not trust the doctor, find another otolaryngologist, consult several specialists, but do not treat your ears yourself! And even more so - in children. Babies can be poisoned by boric acid from the most innocent actions - rubbing the nipples, treating the oral mucosa, showering with powder or burying in the ears or eyes.

A child older than a year, receiving only two drops a day in the eyes of a 2% solution (and in it - 1 milligram of boron) five times a day, can get a toxic dose. In 1987, the order of the USSR Ministry prohibited the use of boric acid in the treatment of infants and pregnant women.

Boric acid for the eyes

The population in Russia is very conservative, so they prefer to be treated "in the old-fashioned way." To treat conjunctivitis and barley, boric acid is still used in the form of an aqueous solution. They wash the eyelid cavity and eyeball. These rinses can be completely replaced with drops of Albucida, produced in sterile packages, and eye ointment (tetracycline, for example). Again, consult a doctor, think five times before treating your eyes yourself and especially - to your child.
