Blint stamping - art-technology serial production

Blint stamping is one of the most demanded finishing processes in the printing and advertising and souvenir production. And this is not surprising. After all, blind embossing can give original products an original, creative and memorable look. Experts unanimously assert that this method of design is the most affordable and attractive for finishing products made of polymers, leather, imitation leather and many other materials.

Blint stamping, which is based on the principle of forming a relief image by pressing special dies (blints) into the surface of the material, allows obtaining a wide variety of patterns and patterns, including various inscriptions, monograms, initials, ornaments, emblems, logos, etc. This type of embossing is carried out without the use of printing inks, but in some cases special films are used to give the surface extra gloss and expressiveness.

Stamps for embossing are clichés made of metal (magnesium, copper, zinc or brass) or polymeric materials. Blint stamping, which forms only a depressed relief, is the exact opposite of the embossed stamping, by means of which relief convex images are created.

There are two types of blint decorating the product surface - hot stamping and cold. The choice of this or that variety depends primarily on the physical properties of the material on the surface of which the embossing is performed. The pressure of the press is regulated by the depth of the image, which is determined by the complexity of the required relief and the presence of small details.

The peculiarity of blind embossing is that with its help only dented colorless images are formed. But, despite this, this type of embossing makes it possible to turn an ordinary serial product into a real work of printing art. The most common type of embroidery is used in the manufacture of a purse, presentation folders, diplomas, bindings of expensive or exclusive book editions, certificates.

To make the products an effective and bright appearance in the printing industry, foil stamping is widely used. The essence of this type of embossing is to form an image on any sealed material (cardboard, leather, paper, plastic, etc.) with the help of special polygraphic foil. The transfer of the pattern is also made by the method of pressing on special equipment, which is equipped with a press.

Foil for embossing is the best alternative to various expensive paints containing precious metals. In any case, the image is no less stylish, spectacular and impressive. As a rule, foil stamping is carried out in a hot way. This method forms the most abrasion-resistant coating. The foil for hot stamping is inherently a multicomponent metallized film, on which, in most cases, a holographic image is applied. This type of embossing is very often used to protect products from falsification.
