The first steps in sports

Moving to Omsk

After the victory in the youth championship of Russia, eight people from Angarsk were invited to the "Motorist" team. But during the stop in Omsk, the train included representatives of the local team and offered to stay. The guys agreed and decided to try. At the age of 17 Berdnikov entered the university and played for the local institute. In addition, he also continued to play for the local teenage team. He knew very well that he still needed to be skilled before the level of the professional team of the higher league.

Professional career

At that time in Angarsk, a professional team was created again, which will play in the second league of the Russian hockey championship. Stanislav Gidrovich was appointed its main trainer. The first coach of Berdnikov, who taught him the basics of hockey. After the appointment, he returned the young stars of Angarsk back home and gave them a lot of playing time on the ice. For a good game Berdnikov Sergei was invited to Magnitogorsk, but for a long time he did not stay there. They became interested in Omsk "Vanguard" and invited him to her. At first, Berdnikov played in the fourth link, but then quickly went to the promotion. In Omsk, Sergei spent nine seasons. After the change of the head coach also left the club. After playing in the Yaroslavl "Torpedo", Sergei decided to go back to Omsk. But, not finishing the season, moved to Severstal.

End of career and transition to coaching

Sergei spent his last season in Novokuznetsk. He played, despite his age, not bad at all. Sergei Berdnikov - hockey player, who left his mark in the history of hockey. Especially Omsk, where he played a huge number of matches and scored many goals. Having finished his career, Sergei became an assistant coach in Novokuznetsk. Then he moved to Severstal. There, the coaches had the task to go to the draw of the playoffs. But they did not cope with this task, and Sergey did not renew the contract. Then Sergey Berdnikov again returned to his native Omsk.
