Belarusian passport: series, number, receipt, exchange

The Belarusian passport is an official document issued to all citizens of the Republic of Belarus. Since the beginning of history, he has changed not only the appearance, but also the content. What is it now, how to receive it and when to change it?

When and by whom is the document issued

In 2012, the President of the Republic of Belarus signed Decree No. 197, due to which children who reached the age of fourteen get their passport of a citizen of the Republic of Belarus. Previously, this happened after reaching 16 years.

Get it in the local division on citizenship and migration of the Internal Affairs Directorate for registration. Suppose you are registered in Slutsk, and you live in Gomel, you will have to come to Slutsk to apply for a receipt in this city.

Are you planning to go on holiday with a child outside the homeland? You will have to issue a passport of the child, even if he is several months old.

Your passport was stolen, lost or further operation is impossible due to the circumstances (for example, the visa pages have ended) - a direct road to the new one in OGiM.

Which package of securities should be prepared

To get you a passport because of the onset of fourteen years, prepare the following package of documents:

  • The certificate of his birth;
  • Fill out a special application form;
  • Identification documents for both parents;
  • 4 color photos on the passport 40 x 50 mm, not cut;
  • Documents confirming the place of registration of a teenager;

If the document is issued to the child in order to travel outside the country, the list is slightly different. You will need:

  • The application of the parent (one, any) to receive;
  • The birth certificate of the child;
  • A document certifying the identity of the applicant;
  • 4 photos of the child: color, size 4 x 5 cm, on one sheet.

The presence of the child will not be needed.

In other circumstances, the following list is necessary for obtaining:

  • Special application;
  • The statement where the reason of necessity of delivery (replacement) is underlined, if that is available (the termination of action is not underlined);
  • 4 photos on the passport format 4 x 5 cm, colored, the sheet is whole, not cut;
  • A certificate of birth of children under the age of 16 (if any);
  • If there was a loss or theft of the document outside the Republic of Belarus, a paper issued to you abroad confirming this;
  • Other documents.

A bit of history

Until 1914, a passport in Belarus was issued only to men who had reached the age of 18. The documents were not issued to women. The girls, who did not reach the age of eighteen, were inscribed to the pope, and then, to their husband. With the outbreak of World War I, when men were sent to the front, women were allowed to obtain documents, the consent of the man was not required.

Issuance of passports of the sample of the Belarusian People's Republic began in 1918. He was a little book with "Chases" on the cover of a red and white color. Records were made in three languages - native, German and French. The records were the following: the full name, the place of registration, whether the person was married (married), bright signs and the place of his service. They stopped issuing such a document in 1920, as Soviet power reigned on the territory of the republic.

Changes in the USSR

There has not been a single sample since 1920, his role was played by a work book, which any person over sixteen years old had to have. At the same time, she acted as an identity card. Only in 1925 they introduced a special certificate, which included information about whether the citizen was married (married), the attitude towards the army, the type of activity, etc. were received. They received it from the police. At the same time, the notion of a residence permit appeared, but a passport such a document began to be called only in 1932. Issued it to everyone who reached the age of sixteen and was assigned to the city, state farm or working village. When moving to another place within 24 hours a person had to inform the proper authorities and obtain a temporary residence permit. The cover was then painted in gray.

In the documents of this sample, not only the generally accepted data was written, but also the occupation. It is especially funny now to see in old records the occupation "dependent". Exceptions were collective farmers, they did not issue passports by law. On what only did not go tricks to become the owner of a gray book. The first documents were officially issued to collective farmers in 1974 after the reform.

It was in this year that the passport became burgundy and "serpent-hammered," as Mayakovsky wrote. In all republics the text in the document was printed in two languages - Russian and the native language, in our case Belarusian. Data entered manually and fit vertically, and not horizontally, as in the modern version. The document is valid for an unlimited period. It was necessary only in 25 and 45 years to change the photo to a new one. At the same time was removed from the passport of the graph of the social situation.

With the advent of independence

With the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, Belarus became an independent state and introduced its own sample of passports. Return "Pursuit" on the cover, which has now become blue. The deadlines were adopted the same as in the USSR, it was necessary to change the photos in 25 and 45 years.

In 1996, they are starting to issue a passport of a modern type, such as we know it today. It meets international standards.

In 2012, reform is being carried out, and the passport is issued only for ten years (why this is done, it is not entirely clear, but the head of state is probably more visible). A feature that distinguishes the new passports in Belarus is a special form of protection - under the influence of ultraviolet light, a luminous branch of the fern and numbering numerals of the leaves appear on the turn.

Series and number. What does

The Belarusian passport has a two-letter code and a number consisting of numbers. These two letters are the series of Belarusian passports. They carry in themselves certain information presented in the table. By the way, these letters are Latin.

AB Brest and Brest region
BM The city of Vitebsk and the Vitebsk region

HB

Gomel and the Gomel region
KH Grodno and the Grodno region
MP Minsk city
MC Minsk Region
KB The city of Mogilev and Mogilev region
PP Passports of this series are issued to citizens residing in other states, and the issuing authority is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The number of the Belarusian passport consists of seven random numbers that do not carry any information and are assigned individually. It is placed on the last page in the upper right corner, right after the series.

There is also a personal number in the passport. If the number can change with the change of passport, then the personal one is assigned once and for all, it never changes.

How much is valid and when to change

Valid passport for children 5 years old, but the age should not exceed 14 years. In the future, the Belarusian passport is valid for 10 years, and is subject to exchange every ten years, until the citizen is 64 years old. From 64 to 100 years - the validity of the next passport, and if you are lucky enough to live to a hundred, then you will be issued a document valid up to 125.

The Belarusian passport is exchanged after the expiration of the validity period by the same authority. But it is not necessary to wait until the validity period is over, you can do it in advance.

There are other reasons why the document is exchanged for a new one:

  • Change of the surname, name or patronymic of the owner;
  • All sheets intended for visas are expended;
  • After the operation to change the sex;
  • It is not possible to use it further;
  • Inaccuracies were found.
