Russia continues to set new standards in the areas of functionality and comfort of defense of servicemen. So, the new model of the first-class ballistic helmet "Spartanets" was specially developed by the company "VoenProm" in accordance with TU 7399-001-65172309-2014.

Purpose of helmet

The helmet was created in order to protect the soldier's head not only from bullets of all kinds of pistols, fragments of V50%, but also pistol-bullet bullets with a caliber of less than 0.44 Magnum. In addition, the helmet is designed to prevent injuries when striking the head with heavy objects or falling from a height.

It does not break, for example, a powerful 11-mm cartridge from the revolver. The weight of this bullet is 240 grain. This corresponds to 15.55 grams. If you compare it with other bullets, then 9 x 19 weighs 5.8 g, and 7.7 g weighs a bullet 9 x 21.

So, the bullet that was released into this helmet from the Tokarev pistol could not break it, causing only a slight swelling from its back side. The pistol "Yarygin" and could not break through the defense. Armor-piercing cartridge 9 x 19 struck this helmet, however, like any other.

Protection from splinters

As for the fragments, Russia adopted its standard in the form of a ball of steel, whose diameter is 6.35 mm and the weight is 1.05 grams. Tests of the protective qualities of the armor are based on the calculation that a fragment flying at a speed of 650 m / s and getting into the helmet must penetrate not more than 50% of the thickness of the armor.

To provide a larger area of protection, a completely new design is applied in the helmet model.

Design features of a ballistic helmet

Structurally, the helmet "Spartan Bear force" consists of a pair of independent segments from each other. They significantly reduce the impact load and serve for maximum head protection.

This foam is made of polyurethane, which makes it possible to absorb the impact energy, which does not change its properties when changing the environmental parameters. It is not afraid of humidity and is extremely resistant to fire. The cushions made in this way do not interfere with their comfortable use in conjunction with active headphones.

If you take out the pillows from the helmet, you can see the black insert. These are air channels for the airing of the helmet. Cushions are fixed using standard Velcro mugs.

Mounting Peripherals

On the helmet "Spartanets", it is possible to install a night vision device. It is attached to a special shraud.

The manufacturer of the helmet "Spartanets" comes in a fairly soft case, regardless of the model and version. Inside the cover there is enough free space, therefore, in addition to the helmet itself, it is possible, for example, to store removable covers.

In addition to the fact that it is possible to choose the necessary size of the helmet, the table allows you to choose the color of the cover. They are available in colors MULTICAM, ATACS-FG, ATACS-AU and black.

If you look at the helmet "Spartan" from behind, you can clearly distinguish between the two parts of the spherical halves of the helmet. When designing this gap, the principle was applied, resulting in protection from injury to the fragments that fell into it. Even if he flies into the gap, then the head does not fall.
