Attractions in Phuket or how to see the exotic

Phuket is an amazing place where clean beaches and clear waters of the sea give tourists an unforgettable vacation. Natural landscapes filled with dense jungle, beautiful waterfalls, wild animals and plants of unseen beauty - all this can be found on the island. However, there are other attractions that are highly appreciated by visitors.

Phuket Attractions

Below are a few places to visit when spending your vacation on the island.

First of all, it is worth to visit the observation deck Kata-Karon, from which you can admire the breathtaking view of several beaches and the island of Pu. The expanse, opening to the view, is indescribable, the horizon line is smoothly intertwined with the sea surface and merges into one.

There are other sites, for example, at Cape Promtep behind the beach of Yanui. They also deserve the attention of tourists, but it's better to return to them later and first visit more interesting places. So, for example, the waterfall Ton Pray will be more interesting for connoisseurs of nature. Water does not fall from a steep rock, but a powerful stream rushes down from a height of 25 meters.

Undoubtedly, the main attractions of Phuket include not only observation platforms and farms with zoos, but also a huge number of Buddhist temples and architectural antiquities located throughout the island.

The first to be included in this list is the temple of Wat Sirei, considered to be the most amazing and incomprehensible for a European tourist. It is located on a separate island of Koh Sirey, connected to Phuket by a bridge. The Buddha statue is in a reclining position here.

Another list of temples can be added Pra Nang Sang - a beautiful and unusual place. On its territory is a large pond with fish, a school and the largest pewter statue of the Buddha.

Phuket's attractions can also be visited by its markets, which operate not only during the day, but also at night. This is very convenient, since tourists usually travel around the different temples and museums until the evening, sunbathe on the beaches, and after the sun disappeared and the streets became a bit more comfortable, they are chosen for shopping.

By the way, museums and parks here are enough to spend a few days of their vacation on them. These include a butterfly garden, a place of incredible beauty, the Royal Garden, an amazing creation of human hands, and the Tai Hua Museum, which opened not so long ago. Here is a story of the life of Chinese settlers who came to the island in the last century. After that it becomes clear why there are so many Chinese names on the streets of Phuket.

Phuket's attractions do not end there. There are several places outside the island, where it will take several hours.

For example, the Temple of the Sitting Monk or, as this place is called Thais, Mani Si Mahatat. Many tours of Phuket provide for his visit. The temple complex itself is located about half an hour's drive north of the island. Visiting of local places can be considered obligatory and safely enter it into your diary.

And, of course, if the island has already been studied, and leave still allows you to spend a day or two away from the hotel, then the very first thing that should appear in the plans of tourists is the Similan Islands. There you can book excursions from Phuket. They are not too cheap, but the trip is worth it.
