Averchenko, "In the Evening": a brief summary. Start

The main character enthusiastically reads "The History of the French Revolution". Then someone sneaks up to him and starts pulling at his jacket, scratching his back, then pushing the muzzle of a wooden cow into his hand. But the hero pretends that he does not notice anything. The one who is behind him tries to move the chair of our character, but the attempt is unsuccessful. Only after that came the voice - "Uncle".

This time, Arkady Averchenko chose to describe a little heroine. Our character was disturbed by Lidochka, his niece. The girl asks her uncle what he is doing, and in response he hears that he is reading about the Girondins. Lidochka is silent. And then the hero decides to explain - he does it in order to clarify the current situation.

The girl asks "why". He replies that to broaden his horizons. Lidochka again asks her question. The hero gets angry and asks what she needs. The girl sighs and says that she wants to see pictures and a fairy tale. The hero responds, her demand is higher than the offer, and then offers her something to tell. Then Lidochka climbs into his lap and kisses her neck.

Fairy tale

Excellent able to portray the childish spontaneity and adult seriousness of Averchenko. "In the evening" (a brief summary is presented in this article) is a story about how differently adults and children view the world in different ways.

So, Lidochka busily asks his uncle whether he knows about the Little Red Riding Hood. The hero makes an astonished look and answers that he first hears of such a fairy tale. Then the girl begins her story.

Lida starts, then the hero asks her to indicate the exact place of residence of the Little Red Riding Hood. The girl names the only city that knows - Simferopol. Lida continues. But the hero again interrupts her - the forest through which the Little Red Riding Hood went, was privately owned or official? The girl responds dryly - state-owned. And so, the wolf comes out to the Cap and talks, but then the uncle again interrupts - the animals can not talk. Then Lida bites her lip and refuses to continue telling tales, since she is ashamed.

The hero begins his story about a boy who lived in the Urals and accidentally ate a toad, mixing it with an apple. The narrator himself understands that his story is stupid, but she makes a great impression on the girl.

After this, the hero takes Lidochka and sends her to play, and he returns to reading. But only 20 minutes pass before he is scratched again with his fingernail, and then a whisper is heard: "I know a fairy tale."

Decoupling

The story of Averchenko "In the Evening" comes to an end (summary). Our hero can not refuse the request of a niece to tell a fairy tale, because her eyes are shining and her lips are funny "torn". And he allows her to "pour out her sore soul."

Лидочка tells about the girl whom mum has once taken in a garden. The heroine of the fairy tale ate a pear, and then asks her mother if the pear has paws. And when she answered that no, she said that she ate the chicken.

The hero exclaims with amazement that this is his fairy tale, only a girl instead of a boy, and instead of an apple a pear. But Lida is delighted to answer that this is her story and that she is completely different. Uncle jokingly accuses her niece of plagiarism and calls to be ashamed.

Then the girl decides to change the subject and asks for pictures. The hero agrees and promises to find a girl in the groom's magazine. He selects the images of Vii and points to it. Lida insults the magazine and starts looking for his bride for his uncle.

She for a long time flips through the magazine, then beckons to her uncle and hesitantly points at the old willow tree. The hero asks to look better and find a terrible woman. The girl flips through the magazine again, and then her thin crying is heard. Uncle asks what's wrong with her. Then Lidochka, already sobbing, says that she can not find him a terrible bride.

The hero shrugs his shoulders and returns to reading. After a while, he turns around and sees that the girl is already fascinated by the new entertainment - she looks at him in the old key. She is surprised why, if you look closely through his hole, your uncle sees it all, and if you take the key away, it's only part of it.
