Anisimova Olga Viktorovna, Russian biathlonist: biography, sports career

It rarely happens that the athlete, throughout his sports career, only wins are waiting. Often, sport is an intricate set in which the joy of victories, successful performances and bitter disappointment from failures, from the inability to realize their sporting ambitions are closely intertwined. The heroine of this essay, Anisimova Olga Viktorovna, her first high-level success waited for long twenty years. Through what I had to go athlete for these years, she knows only one ...

Childhood

Olga Anisimova was born in the small town of Balakovo, which is located in the Saratov region. It happened on January 29, 1972. An ordinary working family, a small provincial town - to break away into a big sport initially has very few chances. But if fate gives you this chance, then you need to do everything you can to not miss it. Olga Anisimova grew up as a sports girl, it was noted both by the teachers of physical culture, and her trainer in skiing. However, to achieve something more in his native Balakovo was not possible. It was necessary to grow further, and for this it was necessary to move to another place, where there will be more opportunities to grow professionally. And in 1987 Anisimova Olga decided on this step.

Leningrad

After the termination of 9 classes of a comprehensive school in native Balakovo before Olga the question on reception of the further education has sharply risen. At that time, the girl no longer saw herself outside of the sport. The choice fell on the Leningrad School of Sports Reserve. That's where the fifteen-year-old Anisimova Olga went. The girl entered without any problems, despite the fact that the competition in a prestigious sports establishment was quite serious. The study was easy, sports training brought joy. They did not take long to wait and the first successes, already in the second year Olga was included in the junior Soviet national team in such a wonderful sport as biathlon (women).

The first medals

The first serious success at international competitions came to Olga in 1989. Speaking at the junior world championships in the USSR national team, Russian biathlete Olga Anisimova became a real hero. In her debut world championship athlete managed to win two gold and two silver medals. In the biathlon world, people started talking seriously about the appearance of a rising star from the USSR. Despite the age so young for this sport (at that time Olga Anisimova was only 17 years old), she perfectly combined two basic qualities: running and shooting. It would seem that a little more, and our team (biathlon (women)) will receive for a long time an excellent athlete. However, everything turned out to be much more complicated.

Birth of a child

In 1991, Olga Anisimova got married, and a year later a son, Vitaly, appeared in the family of the young couple. For several years I had to forget about biathlon. Return to the big sport was very difficult, affecting the loss of the most decisive, in terms of sports, years. Restoring the former form was incredibly difficult, literally moving step by step towards the intended goal. In addition, there were problems with the financial plan, in the yard stood the nineties, money in sports was incredibly small. The situation of Olga Anisimova was practically hopeless: lack of housing, a tiny stipend. In addition, it was time to give my son to school. Russian biathlete Olga Anisimova decides to leave St. Petersburg and try her luck in a new place. For all time spent in this city, the athlete only several times performed at the World Cup stages. The best result, shown by Olga - 10th place in the individual race in Ostersund. It was necessary to change something ...

Transfer to Khanty-Mansiysk

The Tyumen region has always been the patrimony of domestic biathlonists. In Khanty-Mansiysk there was one of the best biathlon bases in Russia. The personal trainer of Olga Anisimova was the well-known coach Valery Zakharov. Step by step the athlete gradually regained her sports condition. But getting into the main Russian team was incredibly difficult. And then Valery Zakharov advised Olga to make her way to the main team through participation in the European Cup. Despite the sonorous name, it was the second echelon of the biathlon elite. Most of them were young biathletes who did not qualify for the national teams. Gradually Olga began to think about the end of her sports career. At this time, in parallel with biathlon, a woman received higher education, studying in absentia at the Faculty of Economics.

Minsk-2004

Gradually, through the starts on the European Cup, Olga Anisimova was approaching its optimal form. Went victories in individual races, prize-winning places. Despite the serious age, according to biathlon standards, Olga again started to be considered as a candidate for getting into the main national team. The first step towards this was done in 2004 in Belarus. In Minsk, another European biathlon championship was held, and Olga Anisimova was included in the Russian national team. The triumphant for our women's team was a 4x6 km relay race. Olga started at the first stage. Perfectly shooting the lezhku, the athlete made one mistake when shooting standing up. However, this did not stop her finish at the second stage, only 4 seconds losing to Belarusian biathlete Ekaterina Ivanova. In the future, our girls through the efforts of Svetlana Chernousova, Natalia Sokolova and Irina Malgina managed to break away from their pursuers and win European gold in the relay race.

In the next season, Olga continued to compete in the European Cup, and she did so successfully, that already in two stages before the end of the European season Anisimova became unattainable for her rivals.

Return to the main team

Successful performances at the stages of the European Cup did not go unnoticed by the coaches of the Russian national team. After the 2006 Winter Olympics, held in Turin, Italy, a number of biathletes completed their careers in the national team. And Olga Anisimova at the end of her career achieved what she wanted, she got into the national team of Russia. The season of 2006/07 can be safely called the most significant in the career of an athlete. Stably speaking almost at all stages of the World Cup, Olga in the total total took 21 place. Also, she had a permanent place in the relay team of Russia. At the World Cup stages, the Russian national team with Anisimova was twice the first in the team. Such results allowed us to consider our team the main favorite of the relay race at the World Championships in Italian Anterselva. However, in this race, our team was waiting for a major setback. Olga Anisimova, who spoke for the Russian national team in the third stage, could not cope with standing shooting. As a result, two penalty circles threw our team off the podium. Only the seventh overall place with a backlog from the German team for more than two minutes. Nevertheless, despite the failure in the relay race, this season for Olga Anisimova could be entered into the asset.

Completion of sports career

Despite the good results of the performances, it was understood that the age does not allow to fully realize itself on the ski track. Olga Anisimova still for some time continued to compete in biathlon competitions, alternating participation in the World Cups with the return to the European cups. The 2010/11 season was the last in the sports career of the sportswoman. The last was the race for the Cup of Russia and participation in the traditional biathlon tournament "Izhevsk rifle". At the age of 39, Olga Anisimova decided to end her career as a professional sportswoman.

One can only admire such a woman who at a certain stage sacrificed her career for the sake of the family, for the sake of raising her son. And I found the strength to return to the big sport after several years of recess, and not just to return, but also to achieve major sporting successes.
