Childhood and family

Andrei Leonidovich Shirman was born in 1982, on May 23rd. His native city is Perm. He was brought up in a creative family. His father (a Jew by nationality) received a professional music education. And his mother is a well-deserved worker of culture, for many years she worked as a chorus master. Andrei has an older sister, who is called Katya.

At the age of six, his parents gave him to school with in-depth study of English. That's not all. The boy was enrolled in a music school (piano class), which he never finished. One of Andryusha's main hobbies was chess.

First successes

At the age of 12 our hero began composing the first tracks. His main "helper" in this business was a desktop computer. At the age of 16 Andrei created the composition "Between Heaven and Earth". And when Andriy Shirman released his first album Get funky, the entire circulation (500 copies) of Perm residents was bought out in a matter of days. Local clubs began to invite young talents. And he never refused. His first performance took place in the club "Apocalypse". His nickname (DJ Smash), he came up with in 30 seconds.

Conquest of the capital

Success in his native city pushed the young man to move to Moscow and further creative development. The 18-year-old Andrey Shirman became the music producer of the "Depot" group. He created arrangements, worked behind the sound engineer's panel. Also several times a week our hero worked in the capital club "Shambala".

At the end of 2004, Andrey stopped co-operating with the Depot group. By that time he had become one of the most inviting DJs in the capital's clubs. In 2005, the native of Perm became a resident of the fashion institution Zima Project. There he played remixes on the compositions of Russian performers (Mirage, Yuri Antonov, Leontyev Valery and others).

All-Russian fame was brought to him by the dance song Moscow never sleeps, recorded together with rapper Timati. This composition fell into the rotation of the largest in our country radio station. In 2012, Andrew created his own team. The project was called Smash Live. In the same year, our hero tried himself as a businessman. He opened the Boom Boom Room restaurant.
