"The Old House" (Novosibirsk) is a drama theater, which was founded in 1933. He became popular in the city before the Great Patriotic War. And today it remains one of the most visited in Novosibirsk.

Mobile Theater

The history of the theater began in the 30s. Then it was formed as a mobile team. The first years he traveled through the Novosibirsk region and was considered a branch of the oldest city theater called "Red Torch".

At that time in the repertoire of the theater there were plays by Ostrovsky, Gorky and Korneichuk. And besides the performances, the actors danced on stage, sang songs, told poems.

By 1937, the theater troupe visited more than 17 districts, played more than 240 performances. All plans were overfulfilled. And in 1943 the "Old House" got the status of a regional theater.

Postwar years

The beginning of a serious flowering is the 60s. Semen Ioanidi comes to the position of art director. Thanks to him, the theater "Old House" gets its permanent scene. The mobile team was based in a house built according to the project of AD Kryachkov. And all this happened at a time when such companies in the USSR disbanded.

On a permanent stage, first performances were staged such as:

• "Treachery and love."

Since 1975, new directors have been coming to the Old House (Novosibirsk) one by one:

1. Vladimir Chernyadev brought with him plays on the works of contemporary authors (Vampilov, Rasputin, Volodin).
2. Izyaslav Borisov opened a new era in the theater. He invites famous artists, composer Gobernik and artist Fateyev to work. His performances immediately receive not only wonderful reviews of the audience, but also delightful odes from the theater experts.
3. Semyon Verhradsky, in which the theater receives a new name - "Old House". Novosibirsk still retains this unique but speaking name. The fact is that this cultural institution is located in one of the oldest buildings of the city.

Today the director of the theater is Antonina Alexandrovna Goreiavcheva. It was with her arrival that the theater "Old House" was reconstructed. Externally, the architectural monument remained unchanged. But inside everything changed, it became more modern and comfortable both for spectators and for artists.

The theater director since 2009 is A. V. Zinoviev. Often the famous performances of culture are invited to staging new plays.

"The Old House" is a state theater. Depending on the performance, the prices for tickets here are different. On children's performances you can get for 200-350 rubles. On the adult repertoire the ticket price is slightly higher, starts from 300 rubles and comes to 800 rubles.
