Alexander Serov: Artist Biography

Alexander Serov: biography. Childhood and adolescence of the artist

The future singer was born in Ukraine, in a village called Kovalevka (in Mykolayiv region), in the spring, on March 24, 1954. In the next, 2014, the artist will celebrate his sixtieth birthday. Music is loved by Serov from school. He played the viola in a school orchestra organized by the music teacher and attended a music school. Later he even mastered the piano independently, but he never thought about the artist's career, he more took it as a hobby. A turning point in the life of Alexander was the accidentally heard song of Tom Jones. At that moment, he decided that he would become like him.

After school the future artist continues his studies at the music school, makes several unsuccessful attempts to organize a jazz group, works as a pianist in a restaurant. In 1970 he retired to the army. There he finds time for his favorite occupation - he performs Tom Jones songs and plays in the Officers' Club. After the service he works in the Krasnodar Philharmonic Society, for a while he is a member of the collective "Singing Jungs", directs several ensembles, participates in musical competitions. One of the most successful was the Intertalant, held in 1987 in the Czech Republic (Prague). There Alexander Serov took the Grand Prix. The first starry song of the artist was the composition "Cruise", which he performed together with Zarubina Olga.

Songs from the first album of the artist called "The World of Lovers" the country heard in 1984. At the same time, the singer Alexander Serov proved himself and as a successful TV presenter - he led and participated in the "Shorter Circle" program.

1987 presented the second album of the musician - "Madonna". A video clip for the song of the same name is considered to be the first in Russia. New video Serov called "You Love Me" was a real breakthrough - in the video for the first time a professional actress starred. In 1991, going to the presentation of new albums was not yet such a tradition as it is now, but Serov, when he presented his CD "I'm crying," then the whole elite of the Russian stage came. In the period from 1992 to 1998, the artist actively tours, releases new albums, gives listeners such famous hits as "Suzanne", "I love you to tears".

All this time the singer cooperates with the talented composer Igor Krutym. However, the conflict that erupted between them, for a while makes Serov leave the stage. Only after five years he again begins to speak. In 2000 he released the album "New and the Best", in 2008 - "Recognition", in 2012 - "Romances". In 2004, the musician was awarded the title of People's Artist of Russia.
