This breed got its name from the oasis of Akhal and the Turkmen tribe teke, it was the nomads who owned the best representatives of the horses. This is one of the oldest horses of Oriental origin, today their number is insignificant, which explains the high price for them. The Akhal-Teke type is very different from other breeds and does not at all resemble nomadic racers. Such horses are characterized by high growth, dryness (only muscles and not a single extra percent of fat), elegance.

Many believe that the Akhal-Teke horse of the Isabella suits derives from the Arabian horses, but most likely, the two breeds formed parallel to each other. They are very similar to each other - both oriental, hot blood, so it's rather difficult to manage them. Akhal-Teke horse was bred earlier in the territory of the Parthian kingdom, and then in Persia, Turkmenistan. The Turkmen managed to keep this breed, the horses were very appreciated, because at that time it was the only way of movement, animals often took part in battle battles.

The soldiers left their stallions and constantly trained them, some animals could bite and kick, which helped the rider to defeat the enemy in battle. The Akhal-Teke horse of the Isabella's coat was surrounded by care, it was grazed on pastures with succulent grass, fed with high-calorie cakes with mutton fat and grain. The price for it is almost equal to the cost of a good Arabian horse, for stallions, the manufacturer will have to pay about $ 6,000, and for a rare specimen they can ask for up to $ 2,000,000. And the point here is not only in rarity, but also in the unique abilities of horses of this breed. Despite the external fragility and tenderness, the horse is very hardy, able to withstand a long time without feed and water, make long transitions. Lynx, step and gallop at horses high, flowing and smooth, which helps them to move on unsteady sands. Riders, although better than other southern breeds, endure frosts, but still fear them, but the dry and hot climate for them is just right.

This kind of name is named after the Spanish Queen Isabella, who promised not to take off her shirt for three years, apparently this yellowish color.
