However, from time to time, the adjustment of PVC windows is required. This will allow them to work long and efficiently. The main advantage of the presented products is that you can make their adjustment yourself without causing the master.

For the procedure, you need a hexagon that comes with the product, cross and flat screwdrivers and pliers. There are certain malfunctions, in which the adjustment of PVC windows is simply necessary: breakage of any element of the fittings, defective work of the casement (poor fit, grazing of the frame elements), wear of the locking bars, tight movement of the handle.

It should be noted that you can set up the correct operation of the mechanism yourself or with the help of a specialist. However, the adjustment of PVC windows is done very simply. For example, the flap, which has almost every product, is debugged with a hexagonal wrench. If it touches the lower part of the frame during closing, it is necessary to open it, turn the screw that is in the end next to the upper loop, a few millimeters in a clockwise direction. Strongly turn the key is not necessary. If you need to adjust the sash vertically, it is desirable to close it, remove the protective cap from the lower hinge, insert a hexagon into it and turn it clockwise a few millimeters. After all the operations performed, check how freely the opening frame is moving, and if necessary, retry the operation.

Further, the adjustment of the PVC windows provides for inspection and replacement of the locking strips. This is simple: you need to open the window, remove the rubber plugs from the upper and lower hinges on the upper and lower hinges, then loosen the first ones. Now you need to adjust the position of the leaf with the adjusting screw first horizontally, and only then vertically.

If the opening element does not fit tightly to the frame, then the adjustment of the PVC windows is done as follows: on the side edge of the leaf are eccentrics, which allow adjusting the tightness of the clamp. Rotate them with a hexagon.

Adjustment of the accessories of PVC windows can be done both with a hexagon and with the use of other screwdrivers. If, for some reason, the handle has jammed, and the door can not be closed, you will have to resort to disassembling the parts. To do this, remove the lid protecting the handle mechanism, and press the lock that worked at the wrong time. If it does not turn, you either need to move the flap closer to the mating part of the lock, or insert a thin metal plate between it and the frame. With a tight turn, the fittings must be lubricated with engine oil. When parts are damaged, it is better to completely replace them with new ones.

In order for the window to work for a long time, it is necessary to periodically inspect all of its mechanisms, carry out regular cleaning from dirt and dust, and lubricate all the nodes with engine oil.

If the problem is more serious, and you can not deal with it yourself, you will have to call the master installer. Otherwise, you risk breaking the window.
