"Adaptation of bees": composition and discography

"Bees adaptation" (another name Beesadaptic) is an alternative musical group from Russia, which defines its style as a "cyber-grunge". Its sound resembles the synthesis of grunge and cyberpunk. The musicians themselves use the letter "d" in the word "grunge", ironically pointing to the ideological mastermind - the author of songs and the vocalist of the group.

Current composition of the team

At the moment the group consists of 4 participants:

Dizzy is a guitarist, frontman and songwriter.

Max is a guitar player.

Asi is a drummer.

Vs - computer and keyboards.

About the group

The collective has built its unusual name on associations from the first word combination heard in the biology lesson, a series about the attack of experimental bees in the once popular fantasy series "The X-Files" and the image of honeycomb on the cover of The Beatles A Taste of Honey, published by Melody.

Beginning in 2003, the guys perform a lot with concerts at various venues and festivals in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Dzerzhinsk, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod, Vologda, Arkhangelsk and many other cities all over Russia.

"Adaptation of Bee" often sounds on the air of the radio stations Aplus Rock, "Maximum" and "Our Radio". Also their songs can be heard on the waves of "Radio Felix", "Just Radio", AlterVision, "Special Radio", "Storm" and others.

In 2007 they released the first video for the song "Fairy Tale by itself", a year later the second official video "Disposition" was released. Both premieres were held immediately on two major TV channels - A-One and O2TV.

In 2005, "Adaptation of Bee" received the Russian Alternative Music Prize (RAMP) award in the category "Discovery of the Year", two years later - in 2007 - the band members became winners in the "Underground Act of the Year" nomination.

During the work, recording and recording of their albums, the group has already worked with such recognized masters of their craft as Andrei Alyakrinsky (Tequilajazzz), Boris Istomin (Knob Studio, "Studio Mosfilm"), Yuri Bogdanov (Magic Mastering Studio) and Andrey Ivanov ( "Moral Code").

Musical handwriting

Songs "Bees' adaptations" are distinguished by a sharp change in moods and the maximum density of sounds, especially in tracks with electronic elements.

The word "cyber-grunge" reflects the multifaceted and abstract essence of the real picture of the team's creativity: an explosive mixture of electronics and alternative sound with catchy rhythm sections and juicy enveloping vocals. The most flattering reviews of his music have repeatedly received "Adaptation of bees." The chords of their songs are clear, tearful and rhythmic. On the one hand, it's almost a classic alternative rock, but inside these melodies there is much more: keyboard ambient, echoes of techno and even post-punk echoing in the transitions. From the album to the album, the sound of "Bees' Adaptation" becomes more and more layered and intriguing. Each new released thing seems to continue all that was before, but at the same time it goes to a completely different level. This is especially noticeable on the record "Melonoya", which became a new stage in their work, preserving everything better in the past, and giving the listeners something completely unexpected.

In their songs, everything is digitized: voice, guitars, drums, melody and even texts are imbued with some secret cybernetic meaning. But in this case, such a wide application of computer technology is a plus. It helps create an almost cosmic atmosphere that makes you forget in the process of listening, and the names of the tracks blend into one long musical journey from the first chords to the state of weightlessness.
