The system calculated potential threats by analyzing all correspondence on the Internet, all data from CCTV cameras throughout the country. But then the mysterious billionaire came up with the idea to apply his invention in ordinary civil life. Preventing crimes involved a special police department, which played well-known American actors.

"In sight" in 2015 was extended for the fifth season. The ratings for the film are still overshooting (on average one series is watched by nine million spectators), however Jonathan Nolan plans to stop for the fifth season and finish the project.

Character Harold Finch is a billionaire who spends his free time not on parties, but on computer development. He was imbued with the tragedy that occurred on September 11 in the US, so he decided to create a unique program that would help the special services prevent terrorist acts. Finch managed to do this, but he did not manage to get in touch with the government: he was assassinated. The billionaire was soon declared dead, but in fact he was seriously injured and decided to keep incognito.

Harold comes up with the idea of using his design to prevent civilian crimes. But personally, he can not engage in such work - Finch remained after the assassination attempt. Therefore, he decides to apply to the former CIA agent and entrust him with this mission. This is the storyline in the first few episodes played on the actors.
