In the cold, this fish is particularly active, so it can be found almost anywhere in the reservoir. It is extremely rare to find burbot on the rapids. How to catch it in the winter? The largest specimens do not go to the shallows, although they often visit the areas of the dump (the transition of the shallows to the river channel). Before the New Year, females spawn at a depth of 1-2 m. After spawning, these fish move to the springs. In winter, burbot is caught in frost and in inclement weather. For the attachment use zhivtsov (small fry), pieces of meat, guts of poultry and fish. The same crushed products are used to entice fish with a large-sized feeder.
