A dog and an electric shocker. What to buy to protect against the four-legged aggressors?

Modern man is exposed to a lot of dangers daily, and aggressive animals are not the last of them. Attacks of dogs happen too often, dexterous, fast dogs - serious opponents for the person. Will a self-defense device, like electric shock, help the dog?

Will the shocker cope with the animal?

Modern electric shocks are a very powerful weapon. Shockers are used for self-defense, as well as for deterring aggressors. Given a sufficiently high voltage, they easily cope with people.

How does the canine organism differ from the human? From the point of view of electricity, nothing but size and weight. If you manage to press the device of I class of power to the body of the animal and hold the discharge for at least 3 seconds - you can completely deprive the opponent of consciousness.

However, the difficulty lies precisely in approaching the dog, but not becoming a victim of his teeth. A fight with a dog is almost always accompanied by wounds and other unpleasant moments. Therefore, if the attack did not occur unexpectedly, it is better to first try to scare off the animal.

Deterrent effect of electric shock

It is widely known that spark arresters have a certain psychological effect. In Yekaterinburg, everyone can buy an electric shocker; nevertheless, statistics tell us that dog attacks happen almost daily, and sometimes even these devices do not save them. Why does this happen?

The thing is that not all shockers are equally good scares. Their effect depends on several factors:

  • The frequency of sparking. Low-frequency devices operating within 50-100 Hz produce a distinct crackling, and the sound of shockers with a frequency of over 100 Hz is similar to a buzzing sound. Dogs are much more afraid of high-frequency sounds.
  • Volume. The volume of the sound depends on the power. The most powerful stunners burst at a level of 90-100 dB. The pain threshold of a person is 120 decibels, in dogs it is lower, since their hearing is more sensitive.
  • Voltage. High-voltage devices give a more distinct, bright arc, which frightens animals, and from discharge to the air more ozone - gas is released, the odor of which is unpleasant to all animals without exception!

And do not forget that you can scare a dog from a certain distance - usually 10-15 meters. If you hold in your hands a device of I class of power - the probability that the dog will be scared and retire will be very great!
