Why does my stomach ache after eating

Simultaneously with the increase in acidity in the stomach, the pain intensifies. After two hours, the contents of the stomach are evacuated to the duodenum, acidity falls, and abdominal pain subsides. The localization of pain in this case is typical: in the upper part of the abdomen in the middle or on the left. The intensity of pain varies from very strong stitching to stupid, aching, cramping.

Later pain in the abdomen, as a rule, appear one and a half to two hours after ingestion. The nature and localization of these are different and similar to early pain. Late pains signal the presence of duodenal or pancreatic pathologies.

For hungry pains, the characteristic time of occurrence is the interval between five and six hours after eating. To reduce or even completely stop, the patient is required to eat again or drink a glass of milk. A kind of hungry are nocturnal pains. These symptoms are characteristic for active ulcerative processes, localized in the duodenum.

If you have a stomach ache after eating, you should immediately contact a doctor. Try to describe your illness as accurately as possible: the time of occurrence, the nature and exact localization of pain, and also list the foods and dishes eaten the day before.
