In the world space there is a large number of different beliefs. From time immemorial, man recognized the existence of the higher mind, worshiped him, sought the ways to achieve spiritual perfection and the meaning of life. But all the nationalities went their own way, so in the world there were different kinds of religions. Now there are quite a lot of them. All religions as differ from each other, and have many similarities.

At the present time in the world there are such kinds of religions as Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism and Islam, as well as Hinduism, Taoism, Confucianism, Sikhism and others. One of the main world religions can be called Christianity, based on faith in the Triune God, as well as his son, called Jesus Christ, who came to the world in the image of a person to save people and give them eternal life. Christianity encourages people to love God and all people, to create good, to be humble and fight against their sins.

From other world religions, Christianity is distinguished by its divine principle. It means that this religion was created not by people, as, for example, in the case of Hinduism, but the Lord Himself gave in ready-made form. Christianity, in turn, is divided into Orthodoxy, Catholicism and Protestantism. These kinds of religions, although similar in faith in Jesus Christ, have divergent interpretations of Scripture and Tradition. In Catholicism, for example, the head of the church is not Jesus Christ, like the Orthodox, but the Pope. Protestants generally tend to interpret the Bible as someone likes.

Another of the world's religions - Islam - is somewhat similar to Christianity. She also has her God - Allah, who is the judge of all human actions. But these types of religions have a significant difference. If in Christianity the focus is on humility and freedom of choice, Islam dictates strict rules and strict obedience. Both religions prescribe to their followers to be kind, fair and to help other people.

A fairly widespread religion is also Buddhism, the supreme goal of which is the attainment of nirvana. From the above beliefs, he is distinguished by the fact that here a man is left to himself, no one will save him, the Buddha only indicates the path to salvation. Nevertheless, this religion also teaches people love and good. The oldest religion is Judaism, which arose in Palestine among Jewish tribes. It differs from Christianity and Islam in that Jews consider themselves to be the chosen people and reject Christ, waiting for the Messiah.

In addition to these basic, there are also other varieties of religions in the world. This is, for example, Hinduism, combining different directions and principles, not having a single integrated system. The Indian people also have Sikhism as a kind of Hinduism, combining the features inherent in Islam. The Chinese people have Taoism - a religion that forms among believers a kind attitude towards the world and compassion for one's neighbor.

Proceeding from the foregoing, it becomes clear that, in principle, all religions realize that our earthly life is not the ultimate goal and recognize the higher spiritual forces. Of course, the concepts of morality and spirituality in all religions are different, but even in ancient paganism there was a kind of remembrance associated with the original communion of God. The very word "religion" the ancient orator and writer Cicero explained as "awe", that is, worship of the higher powers.

It is interesting that in the world there are different kinds of churches since ancient times. In different parts of the world one can see Orthodox churches, Lutheran churches, Islamic mosques, Buddhist temples and Jewish synagogues.
