What are the standards of treatment in medicine?

Modern medicine distinguishes a huge number of diseases and pathological conditions. Unknown five to ten years ago, the diseases are now being studied as a result of the improvement of diagnostic manipulation and success in treatment. However, the flow of new, unexplained diseases, does not stop. This state stimulates the medicine to constant improvement.

But do not forget about the ailments studied, because their level not only does not decrease, but also has a tendency to grow. Such diseases have long passed the research stage, and today only from time to time methods of their diagnosis and treatment are modified. For these standard diseases, special treatment standards are provided. They are developed with the participation of leading specialists in these sections of medicine, followed by periodic adjustment and refinement.

What are the standards for treatment?

First, they provide a high level of medical manipulation, thanks to the proven effectiveness of the current schemes. Secondly, they are strictly regulated (approved) and are controlled.

Medical standards of treatment are a scheme-a list of medical interventions, which are mandatory in the detection of this pathology. Such requirements are not presented to one particular hospital, but are common to all public clinics.

The presence of such schemes determines the high level of medical care both locally and in the whole country. This is because the doctor, having identified a particular disease, does not treat as he sees fit (right or wrong), but performs it according to the established protocol.

Unlike Western countries, in Russia today there are federal standards of treatment, which are controlled not only by the supervisory bodies of the Ministry of Health, but also by insurance services, because compliance with approved schemes and protocols confirms the correctness of treatment. In another situation, when an insurance event occurs, the correctness of the treatment and appointments of the doctor is questioned.

The standards of treatment, as well as any changes in them, are communicated by the administration to the heads of the departments, who in turn inform about the changes of other doctors of their departments at the planned meetings. To apply other tactics or treatment schemes for diseases, it is necessary to conclude a consultation on the effectiveness of the proposed manipulations (appointments). In case of confirmation of reliability of high efficiency of the proposed schemes, their additional research and introduction into the base of treatment standards are carried out.

The introduction of the standards was carried out with the goal of unifying uniform treatment regimens, diagnosing and preventing widespread diseases among the population. In addition, the use of such schemes has made it possible to get rid of unnecessarily prolonged treatment, which can be caused both by the illiteracy of the doctor and by his insufficient experience.

As a result, after the introduction of standards into the medicine, the processes of diagnosis and treatment of diseases were significantly accelerated, which caused a reduction in the duration of rehabilitation and optimization of the preventive system of medicine.

Thus, the standards of treatment guarantee the literacy of manipulations and appointments. Unification of the treatment regimens allowed to achieve the same high level of medical manipulations regardless of the patient's social status , as well as the location of the health care institution (that is, the treatment regimens in the clinics are the same for residents of Moscow and Moscow region, and for residents of any other cities of the Russian Federation).
