Well cleaning. Methods for cleaning wells

If there is a well on the territory of a suburban area, then this is an excellent alternative to centralized water supply. Such a source of water can solve the problem with watering and provide the house with life-giving moisture. However, preventive work should be carried out from time to time, only then the well will be clean, and its operation will be in good order.

Causes of pollution

To carry out such manipulations, one of a variety of methods can be used. The fact that prevention is required indicates a less intense head of water. This is followed by stagnation with gurgling and subsequent discharge of turbid liquid. After that, the system usually stops working. Well cleaning should begin with the definition of the cause of the contamination. To lead to such troubles may be irregular exploitation, mistakes in construction and drilling, and much more. Sometimes water-bearing veins change their direction, and the cause will be natural.

If the structure is devoid of protective mechanisms, more debris will enter the mouth. Sometimes as a reason is the lack of maintenance and improper operation of the pump. There are two main types of wells, the first have a straight trunk, others - a filter. But the well can be cleaned of contaminants by blowing, pumping or washing.

Clearing wells with a straight barrel will be more convenient, since it is possible to lower the equipment to the bottom, eliminating the risk of silting. With regular operation, any well will become clogged sooner or later. If you want to make its own release from pollution yourself, then it's best to use pumping.

Method number 1: application of a vibrating pump

You can clean the wells with a conventional or special pump, which is used for contaminated water. With its help, you will be able to pump a mixture of sand and silt, as well as fine fractions. The pump is installed at the bottom, and the garbage, which happened to be there, gets into the branch pipe and passes through the pump. Through it from time to time it is recommended to pass clean water. If the case is excessively heated, this indicates the need to leave the equipment rest. Using the "Kid" pump, it is possible to clean a standard well if it is shallow, since the equipment can be lowered by 40 meters.

Method number 2: use of bailer

Wells can be cleaned also in the event that the clogging is negligible. If the drilling was not deep, then you can use a bailer. In other cases, its use is ineffective. At a depth of 30 meters or more, it will be necessary to use a winch, but this method requires great efforts of two men. The chute is a piece of pipe on a wire rope. The tool sinks to the bottom, and then rises by 0.5 meters, then drops sharply. Inside, liquid is drawn. There is a metal ball in the cylinder, which rises and falls after a few seconds, closing the hole. This procedure must be repeated several times, and then raise the bailer and clean it of sand. To simplify the work, you can use a tripod. For one such manipulation, about 0.5 kilograms of sand will fall into the hole, which allows us to find out how quickly the well gets clogged.

Method number 3: mechanical cleaning

Purification of wells from sand is also carried out in the case when drilling was carried out at a considerable depth. The most effective way here is mechanical cleaning, where you need to use two pumps running in parallel. The deep, equipped with a lower hydraulic seal, is located at the bottom of the well. It will pick up dirt and silt. The equipment operating in pairs will supply water to raise the deposits under pressure. In order to achieve positive results, the hose for draining the liquid must be shaken and make sure that the amount of contaminants is not excessively large. If the concentration of sand and silt is too high, the equipment may be damaged. When the owners clean the well at the cottage, it is important to choose the right pump, its parameters will depend on the depth of the water. If this parameter is more than 10 meters, then it is necessary to stock a vibrating pump.

Method number 4: use of a fire engine

This technology implies the use of a fire hose, through which water is supplied under pressure. With this technique, cleaning is done in 10 minutes, but this method can be not only costly, but also dangerous. The system components and filters may be damaged from pressure. To resort to such technology it is possible at strong pollution.

Method number 5: application of lift-airlift

Cleaning of the artesian well is sometimes done with airlift, the work will be carried out on the basis of Archimedes' law. In fact, the well is a vessel with water, into which a water-lifting pipe is placed. Compressed air is supplied to its lower part , which makes it possible to form a mixture of foam and air. The water column will press down on the pipe, and after the process starts, it needs to be monitored, you'll have to make sure that the water in the well does not end. The lower part of the pipe will be practically on the sand, it will rise together with the water and be absorbed by the water-lifting pipe. The master's task will be to monitor the water level. Small stones and dirt will be absorbed by the pipe, pushed to the surface.

Cleaning after drilling

When considering methods of cleaning wells, you should remember that this manipulation will have to be done immediately after drilling. The installed filters will not be able to detain small particles from which water becomes turbid and becomes unsuitable for human consumption. Depending on the depth, the process after drilling can take from 10 hours to several weeks. If well completion was carried out by specialists, then they should wash the system themselves. When drilling by yourself, you can use a compressor that has a capacity of 12 atmospheres or more. Among other things, you need a few pipes that are connected to each other and installed in the well. Their diameter should be smaller than the diameter of the well, so that some space remains between the products and the walls.

The upper part of the pipe must be reinforced with a rope before commencing work, since under high pressure the structure can be pushed upward. The tube is put on a vacuum adapter, which is fixed with screws. The compressor is pumped to the highest pressure, and then the compressor hose is put on the adapter. After the equipment is used, the air must be released inside. This procedure is repeated several times. If you can not achieve the desired purity with air, you can replace it with water using the same pipe system with an adapter. To do this, you need to apply a large barrel, which is installed next to the compressor. It is filled with water. The liquid is pressurized by the compressor at the maximum pressure in the well. You have to be careful, as dirt and foreign objects can fly into the master. Work should not be completed until the container is empty. Cleaning of the well from silt and sand in this way should be done until the annular space ceases to emit mud.

Conclusion

If the cleaning of the well from the silt is carried out by means of a submersible pump, it is best to use the equipment with automation. Only then the device is turned off when all the water is pumped out.
