We master cold porcelain. Master classes

Recently, among the craftsmen, the popular topic was cold porcelain. Master classes on modeling and photos of the most beautiful works fill the Internet, so today we will dwell on this topic in more detail.

So, cold porcelain is an elastic mass, in consistence and properties, it resembles plasticine, but unlike it, it becomes hard when dried.

This material is used in ceramic floristry, as well as to create dolls.

Ready cold porcelain can be bought in stores for creativity. On sale there is a flesh color and white, finished product from which it is possible to paint with acrylic paints.

Also, cold porcelain can be made at home. This requires:

  • 1 tbsp. Cornstarch;
  • 1 tbsp. White glue;
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar;
  • 1 tbsp. Jonsons baby oils ;
  • 1 tbsp. Glycerol.

We mix all the ingredients, and as soon as the lumps disappear, put on the smallest fire and stir until the mass adheres to the scapula.

After this, we mix porcelain with our hands like a regular dough, but instead of flour we use petroleum jelly. Mash the mass should be about 5-7 minutes, and then remove the mixture in the refrigerator. That's it, our cold porcelain is ready! Master classes for its preparation are not difficult to find. We are interested in the fascinating and creative process today.

Molding cold porcelain is possible even for a person who has never previously held this material in his hands: everything is extremely simple, and in the proof of this is given below a photo workshop on the production of hibiscus.

To work, you need all sorts of stacks, cutters, molds, wire, artificial stamens and directly cold porcelain.

A small china pea spread evenly over the wire so that the top part is slightly thicker than the bottom - this will make it easier to insert stamens.

To make the petals take a small piece of porcelain and roll it out "sausage", roll to a thickness of 2-3 mm and insert a wire into the center. It should occupy about ¼ of the petal. Using a mold and a knife, give the petal the texture and shape of a real plant.

Walk along the edge of the stack with a round tip, and then to make the bend put our petals in a bowl with a rounded bottom (some masters use old bulbs for this purpose).

For greater naturalness effect after drying, walk along the petals with a yellow dry pastel.

Evenly distribute the 5 petals around our pistil and fix the ends of the wire with a tape tape.

To make it more plausible, you can make a bud and leaves.

As you can see, for today the cheapest way to translate your fantasies into reality and create incredible beauty is cold china. Master classes, of which there are a great many, will help you to get used to the world of modeling. Thanks to the homogeneous texture of this material, it is possible to create not only flowers, but also various small details. Use the handy materials: shells, ropes, beads, fabric and other accessories, and not just cold porcelain. For beginners, we recommend finding educational videos and not getting hung up on something tiny. Thumbnails are not yet for you, try to start with something big, for example with hibiscus, a master class for the manufacture of which is given above.

And remember, modeling is a pleasure if the material is cold porcelain. Master classes will help you!
