Warming of Facades and Materials for Warming Systems

Thermal insulation of facades is a compulsory necessity, conditioned by severe Russian climatic conditions. And this operation is envisaged not only for private residential buildings, but also for multi-apartment complexes, shopping centers, office buildings, production workshops, warehouses and other facilities. Despite the fact that exactly the facade is expected to be performed on one or another structure, the facade insulation must be carried out necessarily, and best of all - at the construction stage. To date, apply a variety of facade insulation systems, each of which uses some of the materials.

1. Polyfoam is a widely distributed material due to its low cost and excellent thermal insulation properties. Numerous air bubbles do not allow warm and cold air to flow in both directions, which significantly reduces heat loss. However, such systems of warming the walls have certain disadvantages: it is the possibility of dampening the walls, the ability to release toxins into the atmosphere in case of fire, the need for constant airing.

2. The extruded polystyrene possesses similar properties, as usual, only it is issued in a somewhat different form. Over it, you can apply a reinforcement layer and distribute the plaster. However, along with the advantages inherent in conventional foam, extruded has exactly the same disadvantages.

3. Mineral wool - another widely used insulation. And if applied in combination with adhesive plaster, the hydrophobic layer formed on the surface will completely prevent the penetration of moisture into the thickness of the material. But acrylic plaster here should be excluded, since the airtight film obtained in this way does not give moisture, which is in the thickness of the material, to go outside.

4. Sometimes, when preparing the facade for insulation, there is a need for leveling the surface. As materials there is foam and additional plaster, but you can use a more economical material - penoplex.

There are also several thermal insulation systems, and each has its own peculiarities and nuances.

  1. Ventilated facade consisting of a heater, windproof membrane and decorative coating. As a rule, such systems are used in private house-building.
  2. "Wet facade", based on a reinforcing mesh glued to the heater, and applied to it the decorative layer. This method allows you to create a variety of facades and embody the most daring design solutions.
  3. Thermal panels, whose construction is similar to a ventilated facade. The material here is ceramic granite, natural stone, metal and even glass. Such systems are more relevant for office and industrial buildings.
  4. Execution of facade insulation using siding panels of various texture and configuration.
