Visa to Turkey: in which cases it is necessary, and in which it is not

The visa to Turkey for Russians has ceased to be necessary if they wish to go to this country for a short time - up to a month. That is, in case you intend to see the splendid Istanbul and walk through its museums and mosques, swim in the world-famous beaches or go skiing, visit friends or a business conference, you do not need to worry in advance. But when planning a longer visit, you will have to issue the necessary documents. This can be done in three cities - Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan. Consular departments of the embassy work there.

But even if the visa for Turkey is open to you, you still can not stay in the territory of this country for more than three months. With several entrances and exits, it should be remembered that the validity of these 90 days is within one half year. The very process of crossing the border is simplified to impossibility. Of course, you need to present a valid passport for traveling to another country. The rules require you to have a hotel reservation or a tourist voucher, as well as at least three hundred US dollars, although the last two items are not actually checked.

Keep in mind that even those who do not need a visa to Turkey must have a lot of space in their passport (at least it is necessary that one-fourth of the page is empty) - then border guards can put inbound and outbound stamps. Strangely enough, this is a very serious requirement: if there are no free spaces for stamps, you will simply not be allowed into the country. If you leave later than expected, you face a fine that you will have to pay when you leave Turkey. You have the right to refuse to pay, but then you will be punished with a five-year ban on entry.

Not all residents of the former Soviet republics have the same conditions as when registering for access to the country. Some are very loyal - for example, citizens of Georgia can stay without a stamp in their passport for up to three months. Uzbeks, Kazakhs, Tajiks, Turkmen and Azerbaijanis have a visa to Turkey for a long period exceeding a month. But Armenians and Moldovans should get permission for a single entry even for a month. Ukrainians can be without a visa stamp in the country up to 30 days once, and up to 90 - with multiple entry.

It happens that a person comes to the country as a tourist or on business, but gets into circumstances when he needs to stay. For example, when the negotiations dragged on, or wanted to visit several tourist areas and inspect everything. In such cases, a visa to Turkey can be extended on the spot for up to three months. However, such an exception is made only once a year, if a tourist or businessman applies with a special application to the department for foreigners, he will show documents that he has enough money to live so long and will pay permission .

It differs from other working visas to Turkey, which takes about two months.

This is a rather complicated process, because, in addition to the usual package of documents, you will need to provide the original contract with a Turkish partner or employer.

And this organization or firm is obliged, in turn, to prove to its Ministry of Labor that you are an expert they are not able to find in Turkey.

And only in this case you will get a work permit. And since all this requires requests, letters and other bureaucratic delays, the design is very delayed. However, the law requires that everything be decided within a maximum of three months.
