Vegetative crisis: anxious symptoms and sad consequences

Very often vegetative crisis is called the term "panic attack", but the essence of the disease does not change from this. This spontaneous state of non-epileptic origin, which is expressed by polymorphic vegetative disorders, provoked by the activity of central vegetative structures. Simply put, this is a kind of inadequate state of the body that appears with somatic, mental, endocrine disruptions, and also under the influence of medicines. But in most cases, the vegetative crisis represents an acute form of neurotic disorder and is accompanied by distinct mental disorders. Such panic disorder is recurrent, that is, it is systematically repeated after a certain period of time, and the duration of such an interval depends on many factors. By their nature, psycho-vegetative paroxysms often have a hereditary predisposition, that is, some element of genetics, and depend on the dysfunction of vegetative structures.

What is the dynamics of this pathology? First of all, a certain regularity is tracked, which makes it possible to clearly outline the age category of patients. So, the vegetative crisis is more often observed in women who have reached 20-40 years, and the first aggravation of it, in fact, has no significant reasons. The attack grows within a few minutes and is accompanied by a complex of vegetative disorders: lack of air, tachycardia, pain or discomfort in the sternum, hyperhidrosis, irrepressible tremor, hot flashes or cold, a feeling of goosebumps, dizziness, faintness, a pre-stupor condition, stomach cramps, digestive disorders, Frequent urination. Vegetative crisis, the symptoms of which exert a significant load and stress most of all internal organs, does not pose a real threat to life, but it affects the psychological state very much. In addition, for this pathology are characterized by hysterical symptoms, in particular, a split personality, delirium, insanity, loss of consciousness, mutism, a sense of detachment from this world. Sometimes the vegetative crisis is accompanied by dizziness and other vestibular disorders.

If it is a panic disorder, then there should be a tendency to repeat, since the frequency of unexpected relapses can fluctuate from several times a day to a couple of times a year. From the number of repetition seizures in many patients there is a mad fear of the coming panic attacks. Patients begin to progress agoraphobia, that is, in the expectation of another exacerbation, they avoid crowded places and, as it were, search for secluded "corners" for another attack.

It is very difficult to diagnose a vegetative crisis, whose treatment is also very difficult. For an accurate diagnosis, all serious diseases with similar symptoms, such as epilepsy, bronchial asthma and others, should be completely ruled out. Also, exceptions do not constitute mental pathologies, among which, with a vegetative crisis, some phobias, schizophrenia, endogenous depression are similar . After a detailed examination, an experienced specialist should establish a friendly relationship with the patient in order to reliably communicate the essence of the disease to his consciousness, and also explain how to prevent the appearance of seizures. The most important thing is to convey to the patient the idea that despite the severity of attacks of panic attack, he has no reason to fear for his life, because this disease does not carry a direct threat. Intensive drug therapy is also prescribed, which includes the administration of antidepressants such as Amitriptyline, Doxepine, Clomipramine, Tianeptine, and benzodiazepines, for example, Alprazolam, Laurazepam. The first pharmacological group acts very slowly and sometimes is accompanied by worsening of the state, and the representatives of the second pharmacological group start to act more quickly, but the course of such treatment should be limited, since they can cause the strongest habituation in the body. Treatment is combined with elements of maintenance therapy.

The patient must learn to dampen the vegetative crisis in a timely manner, for example, with Relanium's pill under the tongue, only then can the number of relapses be reduced and the condition of one's own condition substantially simplified.
