The father of the boy is an engineer, originally from Armenia. That's why Tukhmanov David Fedorovich called his nationality mixed - Russian-Armenian. From childhood, the boy's path was predetermined, his mother's perseverance and natural musical abilities prevented David from choosing a different life path.

Years of study

In 1948, David F. Tukhmanov entered the Gnessin Music School for a piano class. His first teacher was E. Efrussi, but the founder of the school Elena Fabianovna Gnesina took an active part in the education of the boy. It was she who saw in him more of a composer than an artist, and in every possible way encouraged his writing activity. Already in the primary classes, David creates the first musical opus: romances, piano pieces, ballads. In high school Tukhmanov is engaged in the composition class at the outstanding teacher of the school Lev Nikolaevich Naumov.
