The TV series "The Wolf". Actors and the role of one of the best modern mystical series

The American mystical-dramatic youth series "Wolf" is based on the 1985 film of the same name, commissioned by the famous MTV channel. Initially, the project was positioned by the creators as a genre blend of romantic comedy, a horror film and a drama. After the eponymous animated series, he became the second teleadaptation of the film and significantly expanded the mythology of the world of werewolves. Mystical stories, "urban legends" and rampant fantasies of writers on the theme of werewolves were used as the basis for individual episodes of the novel "Wolfs". Actors and roles were positively received by the viewer, which served as a motivation for the appearance of the next 5 seasons.

Plot

The protagonist, sixteen-year-old teenager Scott McCall, is attacked one night by a huge strange beast, like a wolf. After a while, the guy notices certain changes in his body: the hearing becomes aggravated, non-human physical strength, endurance and the ability for accelerated regeneration appear. Here is such a "bait" cast the viewer series "Wolf". Actors and roles, embodying the plans on the screen, will be listed a little later. Scott trusts his secret to his friend Stiles Stilinsky, and soon the mysterious werewolf Derek Hale comes to his aid. With their help, the protagonist is obliged to learn self-control to protect his family, loved ones and beloved girlfriend Allison Arjent from the werewolf who turned him-Alpha. The fans were delighted with the interesting idea of the so-called "Wolfskin" series. Actors and roles in the blink of an eye became recognizable, and film critics rushed to present the first reviews and reviews (mostly positive).

main characters

Scott McCall (Tyler Pose) is an ordinary kid, a high school student. She earns money in a veterinary hospital. After the changes, he becomes captain of the school sports team for lacrosse. Murder of Derek Alpha (Peter Hale) deprives Scott of the chance of healing. In the second season, McCall willingly uses his acquired skills, and to the third becomes a real Alpha.

In the narrative narrative, a romantic line with mysticism and mythical superstitions in equal parts is woven into the project "Wolf," and the actors and roles harmoniously fit into the exciting action. Did not become an exception:

  • Allison Arjent (Crystal Reed) is a 17-year-old beauty, the girl of the main character. Her family has hunted werewolves from time immemorial, and, naturally, the relationship between the "hunter and the victim" does not always develop smoothly. Parents in the second and the end of the first season forbade lovers to meet, but those, of course, violated the prohibitions.
  • Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O'Brien) is a 16-year-old renegade, an unpopular teenager among peers, but Scott's best friend is the protagonist. He was brought up from a small age father-sheriff after the death of his mother.
  • Derek Hale (Tyler Heclin) - born werewolf, who lost his family in the flames of fire. Kills Peter Hale only to become an Alpha. His relationship with the main character is twofold. First he acts as a mentor, and after almost an adversary. On their confrontation several separate series of the movie "The Wolf" are being built. Actors and roles for them, as it becomes clear, were chosen in such a way as to emphasize the contrast.

Similarity with the original

The main unifying feature of the series and the film is the original idea and the image of the central character, for the time being the usual, insecure teenager. After significant changes associated with lycanthropy, the main character becomes emotionally more relaxed and physically strong. Like the original, the television series "plays" with the viewer, exaggerating the generally accepted notions of werewolves previously obtained from Hollywood horror films. It seems that all the components of their success were collected in the television movie "Wolf". Actors and roles, loved by the viewer, make it one of the best among the likes.

Visible differences

Among the main differences between the series and the movie is their genre orientation. The 1985 film is primarily a youthful mystical comedy, and the series "Wolf" (MTV) is a mystical drama with separate comedy elements. The humor present in the TV version is more gloomy, although it is sustained in the spirit of the original idea. Still from insignificant differences: in the teleproject Scott - the player in lacrosse, in a film - in basketball. And the process of "infection": in the movie, the protagonist inherited his abilities, in a television version - from the bite of a werewolf. On the difference can tell the real fans who viewed both the original and the series "Wolf". Actors and roles fell in love with the audience immediately after the release, and this fact confirms that this subject is popular and in demand among young people.
