The troops of the National Guard of Russia: structure, command, symbols

Any state is a complex socio-political structure, which has many characteristic features. The main element of any country is society. This fact shows that the state unites huge masses of people. As we understand, society needs not only to use for the modernization of the country, but also to protect. After all, without people, in fact, there will be no states. This fundamental principle people understood at all times, which entailed the creation of a military sphere of life. Its representatives have always enjoyed great honor in society, because everyone understood the importance of the functions they perform. Later, a narrower, law-enforcement branch separated from the military sector.

To date, these areas of human activity are quite developed in all countries without exception. For example, in the Russian Federation there are a lot of various agencies and structures that implement functions to ensure public and public safety. One of them is the troops of the national guard of Russia. This structure is now entrusted with a large number of important tasks. The internal security of the state, or rather, its provision is a priority task of the majority of power structures. In this regard, the troops of the National Guard of Russia are a military organization whose main purpose is to maintain security, as well as ensure the freedoms and rights of Russian citizens. It should be noted that such structures now exist in many states, namely the USA, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Croatia, etc. For a long time, internal troops functioned in many CIS countries, which became the prototype of modern units of the national guard.

History of organization

The troops of the National Guard of Russia have a very interesting history. The territory of our country, as we know, has not been small at all times. It was extremely difficult to maintain order in the country. Therefore, at the early stages of the country's development, the bodies that supervised the society and its activities began to appear. For example, in the imperial period there were internal guard houses. The divisions were engaged in collection of taxes and protection of public order. In 1836, on the basis of internal guards, gendarmerie units were established.

During the development of the Soviet Union, the functions of the national guard were carried out by the Cheka's combat detachments. After the Great Patriotic War special guardsmen appeared, which later became the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR. They existed until the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Internal troops and their difference from the National Guard

As mentioned earlier, the modern military organization of the National Guard is relatively young. It was formed only in 2016. Prior to this, internal troops operated on the territory of the Russian Federation, which were the "successors" of similar Soviet units. To date, many believe that the National Guard and the BB are identical structures with different names. This statement is a profound error. The bottom line is that internal troops are a structural subdivision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. In turn, the National Guard is a military organization that is subordinate to the eponymous department, which is the Federal Service of the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation. The spectrum of problems in this case is significantly expanding. If earlier the basis of activity was the goals set by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, then today the organization has considerable freedom of activity. This fact is clearly visible if we analyze the tasks of the troops of the National Guard.

Objectives of the organization

The troops of the Russian National Guard are currently implementing a fairly wide range of various functional tasks. All of them are aimed at ensuring security. But there are also some specific features. Thus, the main tasks of the troops of the national guard are as follows:

- protection of law and order and security;

- protection of objects of national importance;

- organization of the fight against extremism and terrorism in the territory of Russia;

- provision of a military emergency in case of their direct introduction;

- defense of the territory of Russia;

- Assistance in the work of frontier FSB bodies;

- control over the observance of legality in the sphere of arms turnover and the implementation of security activities;

- Protection of objects on which a special regime operates.

In accordance with the normative documents, which will be presented later, the troops may be assigned other tasks, on the basis of the decisions of the President of the Russian Federation.

Legal framework of the organization

Any formation, whose activities are carried out directly on the territory of Russia, must have its own regulatory framework. Otherwise, such a structure will be simply illegal. The troops of the National Guard are also subject to the law. The main regulatory sources of the organization's activities are the following:

- The Constitution of the Russian Federation;

- The federal law "On the troops of the national guard of Russia";

- regulations.

Thus, a special regulatory structure ensures the legality of the activity of the national guard as an armed or force formation.

Structure of the troops of the national guard of Russia

Any power organization is systemic. A well-organized internal structure allows much more efficient execution of the whole array of functional tasks. In general, the system of national guard of the Russian Federation is borrowed from the once existing military units of the Russian Federation. At the same time, formation is a structural element of a different, more extensive organization. To date, this is the Federal Service of the troops of the national guard of the Russian Federation, which has already been mentioned earlier in the article. This body belongs to the security forces, which equates it with special services.

It is worth noting that the direct reform of the structure of the national guard of Russia continues to this day. A special program of changes is planned until 2018. The main goal is the introduction into the composition of the troops of the national guard of such units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as SOBR and OMON. As for the layout of personnel, it will be filled with people with higher education.

As in any military organization, the National Guard has a special, elite in its essence division. A separate operational division is the oldest form of this type. The number of its personnel is more than ten thousand people. The division is actively used in various special and counter-terrorist operations. The military formation presented in the article has several ways of manning. To date, the strength of the national guard of Russia is about three hundred thousand people. At the same time, the organization provides for both state civil and military service. Thus, for the implementation of various functional tasks, different types of employees are provided.

Equipment of the organization

In their activities the troops of the National Guard use different technical means. Speaking directly about weapons, it is represented by copies of Russian and Soviet production. The following copies are used in the activity of the National Guard:

- Pistols: PM, PMM, GSh-18, PSS;

- submachine guns: PP-2000, AEK-919K;

- automatic devices: АК74, АКСУ74У;

- sniper rifles: SVU, SVD, BSS, ASVK, etc.

As we can see, equipping the Guard unit is great for performing all the functional tasks. In addition, the troops of the Russian National Guard, whose uniform is similar to the Russian Federation's armed forces, also have special equipment, namely armored cars, cars, helicopters and airplanes.

It should be noted that the organization presented in the article is equipped with special means. Among these can be attributed weapons to combat subversives underwater.

Symbols of the troops of the National Guard of Russia

To date, the national guard of the Russian Federation has no official symbols, because it is at the development stage. But given the fact that the organization represented in the article is a "descendant" of the internal troops, the symbols of these structures are likely to be similar.

The emblem of the troops of the national guard of Russia today exists in sketches. It is a golden double-headed eagle with a crown on its head.
