And I'll start with the Simpsons' neighbors - the Flanders. It is a traditional American family, but with a religious inclination. Ned (the head of the family) constantly prays, as he asks his relatives. He also lives his whole life according to the Bible, without departing from its canons for a single step.

The antipode of this family is ... the priest of the local church - the Monk Lovejoy (by the way, his remarkable name in the translation is "love of pleasure"). Despite all his importance, he does not believe in church and the Bible as seriously as Flanders. He repeatedly advised the latter to change the faith, because He just tired him.

As for me, the Monk Lovejoy is also the standard priest of the present time, which is slowly moving away from the canons that the Bible and Christianity imposed on most.

Also in the Simpsons there is a parody of the sects. Even a whole series on this issue was removed;) So it showed how the whole Springfield fell into the sweetness of a certain "Leader", who promised to take them all to the planet "Blessed." I think it's not worth talking about how it all ended: he was caught when he wanted to hide with money.

Also, the theme with God, too, often skips in the Simpsons. But his face did not show ...
