The smartest birds ... Do the feathered inhabitants of our yards, gardens and forests possess intelligence? Agree, such a question sooner or later may interest each of us, and probably even in childhood, when a huge number of cartoons with talking wise birds are shown on TV.

By tradition, the most intelligent bird in the world is an owl. A figurine with its image receives a winning team in the game "What? Where? When?" But, by the way, scientists, having conducted some studies, refuted this fact. According to new data, in nature there are birds even more intelligent and intelligent. They are primarily crows. Next are falcons, hawks and herons. At the lowest stage of development, interestingly, there are kozodoi, ostriches and quail.

People get these free birds themselves as pets more and more often. It's understandable, it's easier for them to train other teams, for example, to serve cutlery or to take off their hats from guests. If the training of crows to engage closely, from them grow extremely obedient and devoted birds.

In addition, when flying, they practically do not make noise, thanks to unique feathers on the wings. All this gives them great advantages during the hunt.

The largest Eurasian eagle owl is considered to be the largest bird from the family of owls. The height of the bird can reach 75 cm with a weight of 4.5 kg. Peruvian dwarf owl is recognized as the smallest. It is of the size of a sparrow, weighs only 30 g.

Rare species of owls can hunt during the day, since a special layer of cells is present in the eye of birds, which reduces sensitivity to light. But more often the owls sit motionless in the daytime to be able to let small birds in.

And, finally, I would like to note: it is simply impossible to answer theoretically the question of which bird is the most intelligent. Why? Because, according to experts, each of them adapts to their environment and habitat: a polar owl is unlikely to survive in hot Africa, and ostriches, of course, will not settle in Antarctica.
