The film "Go and See" - reviews. Soviet movies

About this national film, telling about the horrors of the war, you can talk endlessly, because any praise he really deserves. The incredibly tragic story that opened in front of the audience gathered a multi-million army of fans, placing the picture in the best rating tapes of the Soviet screen. The film "Go and See," description, review reviews and a number of interesting facts about creating a cult ribbon will be discussed in our article.

A simple story about the patient himself

Ales Adamovich is the author who writes about individual episodes of the Patriotic War. He is also known as the author of the painting "Franz + Polina", another film of this theme. In his Khatyn story, he addresses a place and event, forever immortalized by the memorial complex as a symbol of suffering and people's grief. The plot of the film "Go and See" largely relies on documentary facts that have been historically reflected in reality.

Perhaps this was the reason for the recognition of the picture. Real events are easier to perceive. On the example of the protagonist, growing up in a matter of days, the author (together with director Elem Klimov) demonstrates the horrors of ordinary people caught in the trap of German fascists. On the territory of Belarus, a punitive action takes place, during which hundreds of civilians are killed alive. Behind all this is observed by a boy named Fleur. Previously, he was a cheerful teenager, and after what he saw turned into a gray-haired old man ...

The plot of the film "Go and See" is truly impressive. Viewers saw the picture: looking at the fears of the village people, driven into the "death barn", it was impossible to restrain emotions.

How masterpieces are created

The idea of the future picture has arisen at the director for a long time. A native of Stalingrad, Elem Klimov wanted to make such a movie all his life. Military subjects have been postponed in childhood since childhood, when his little one, along with adults, was evacuated along the Volga. He sat in a boat and looked at the torched cities, flaming brightly along the shore. Experiences have become something of a duty that the director has sworn to fulfill.

That there was no fascism ...

Separate milestones of the Patriotic War remained on the pages of the past, and few will remember the events in Belarus. Klimov's film "Go and See" is about that period of history. "Khatyn's story" Adamovich was the starting point in creating the picture. According to the director, the author managed to convey the horrors of occupation and widespread genocide. Preparing the tape for hire, Klimov understood the level of rigidity with which the material would be fed. Somewhere thought flashed the thought: the movie would be banned, no one would see it. Fortunately, this did not happen. The film about Khatyn "Go and See" is not just another evidence of war. This is a plea for peace, left for future generations.

Shooting difficulty

To make it happen, it took more than seven years. Every time the production problems forced to postpone the shooting. Klimov has already watched the performers of the main roles, but during the years of downtime they have grown significantly.

He still needed an ordinary teenage boy who could naturally embody the key image in "Go and See." Candidate actors came to auditions in droves, but the director was not looking for a professional. The casting was thorough. It was on Fleur Klimov that he assigned the main tasks, in fact, not so much the horrors of the war, as their awareness was a prime idea.

Alexei Kravchenko, familiar to the modern audience on the series "Spetsnaz" and "Bratany", did not intend to participate in the film. It so happened that he came to casting with his friend as "moral support" and liked Klimov very much. To the surprise of those present, Kravchenko naturally wept, playing one of the scenes. The artistic board of the picture, headed by the director, immediately approved him for the role.

Dramatic debut

The image of a village teenager became the first in Kravchenko's career. According to the actor, a strong impression was made on him the film "Go and See." The description of the picture boils down to the history of Fleura, who left for the partisan detachment. Together with the girl Glasha, he watches the village enter the Nazis, and after checking the documents they openly scoff at the residents. The scenes in which the officers were allowed to get out of the shed to those who had no children were especially severe, but no one wanted to become a "traitor." In this, in the opinion of critics, an important message is concentrated: if one perishes, then the entire village.

A teacher who survived the war

Who else got into the movie "Go and See"? The actors are also represented by Olga Mironova, who played the above-mentioned Glasha. Klimov did not need the skill of execution. In Mironova he saw the depth of personal experiences. Not everyone can play a "clean" game in tragic circumstances. After the release of the film, Olga Mironova became the star of the screen. "Go and see" is her only film career. Today Olga is engaged in teaching activities.

The film "Go and See": actors and roles of the secondary plan

According to the original idea, Elem Klimov planned to attract famous actors, but quickly abandoned the idea. He clearly defined the principle of work - to create the most realistic environment on the set, using non-professionals, who under the power of genuine emotions.

The place of work was chosen Berezinsky biosphere reserve, where specially constructed the necessary scenery. For the role of the village elder, who was burned alive by the Germans, Klimov invited Kazimir Rabetskiy. This person is a real villager, who passed the events that took place in Khatyn. The emotional scene of the deathbed monologue was shot from a single take. Mounting the film, the director did not find it necessary to re-sound it. Later he called Rabetsky a man who committed an "actor's feat."

The band was attended by natives from other countries. So, the heroes named Kosach and Rubezh were played by Lithuanian actors Ljubomiras Laucevičius and Vladas Bagdonas, while Estonian Jüri Lumiste played in the role of a German officer. The composition includes Soviet stars - Eugenia Tilicheeva, Alexandra Berdu, Vasily Domracheva, Eugene Kryzhanovskiy, as well as a large number of actors of extras who played villagers.

Unexpected model of hell

What did the film "Go and See" remember to the audience? Comments reviewed the picture mentioned a lot of complex psychological scenes, leaving an indelible imprint. These include mockery of local residents, arson barn with a special cynicism, when the Germans listen to music and applaud, content with themselves, shooting from various weapons, as well as posing in front of the camera against the backdrop of a burning barn. As for observing Flair, the director used the strongest dramatic move: the main character is gray before his eyes, slowly turning into an old man.

Evil on a massive scale

Without an impressive concentration of violence and cruelty, the film "Go and See" was by no means possible. The feedback of the audience shows that not only the evil prevailing in the village is demonstrated in the picture. The very negative energy of the events taking place acquires a symbolic connotation. Especially noticeable it is expressed in the scene, when the concussed Fleur moves through the swamp. There are a lot of sounds and noises in his head, the invaders seem to him, but he continues to walk, overcoming obstacles. On the contrary, there are no fascists in this place, but there is still an evil that exerts psychological pressure on him.

The obvious intention of the authors

Is it possible to consider the noble idea of the creators to show the inhuman face of fascism? It is likely that people will never forget about this and that this does not happen again, as a living reminder serves the film "Go and See." Critics' responses are unanimous: unquestionably, this is a powerful picture with a deep emotional impact, designed for the general public (age restrictions exist for children under 16 years old).

Throughout the narrative, the frightening episodes of fascist evil were so formed, concentrated in the film, that the final scenes leading to the culmination of the whole story include the spectators' defense mechanism. In their opinion, the excessive number of hard scenes weakened perception, compared, for example, with the seen dead bodies at the beginning of the picture, which caused the first powerful impulse. Does this mean that the director oversaturated the picture with episodes? It is difficult to say unequivocally, because each viewer independently establishes the boundaries of perception. Obviously one thing: every strong scene beats backhand.

The film "Come and See." Reviews, general impressions

It is impossible not to agree that the presented tape bribes the actor's component. On Fleur keeps the picture itself, leaving only his key character. Looking at the talent of an inexperienced 15-year-old teenager, you marvel at his ability to let others suffer through yourself. Curious will be the following fact: the actor had to go on a diet, lose weight, and he got carried away by running for long distances, giving birth to a haggard child in himself.

Fleur, the hero of the film "Go and See," would cause difficulty for every actor, but Kravchenko coped well with the role. Olga Mironova in the image of Glasha feels less confident. Moreover, it seems that the authors did not work out its place in the plot. Its importance for the picture is not quite clear. The girl seems to be, but does not fit into the framework. The rest of the characters are spelled out minimal - the plot does not require the disclosure of their characters, they are by and large united by a common episode.

The reality reflected in the film is, in reality, more terrible and cruel. Nevertheless, the artistic effect is recreated to the full. In contrast to the troubles and horrors, exceeding the threshold of pain and compassion, a visual impression left a pleasant impression. Operator work is noted: general panoramic plans, open spaces of nature.

Nothing is forgotten, no one is forgotten

Recognized as the best picture of 1987, the Russian film "Go and See" is a powerful tool that hits the minds of viewers. Having a highly artistic value, it also contains separate scenes that tear the soul apart. Without setting out an example of spectacular entertainment games, designed for box office, we have the opportunity to see a real war, such as it is remembered by our country. The tape has every chance to drive into depression and spoil the mood. But only this way you can work on the viewer, showing a terrifying fear, but the fear is genuine.

Undoubtedly, the strongest feelings and powerful aftertaste, which can hardly be called pleasant, was caused by the film "Go and See." Actors and roles, as a display of terrible events, made a deep impression on viewers of modern and those who will look at the picture in a relative future. Such a movie you need to look at least in order to remember.

Other Russian films with a similar history of punitive operations include Ascension (1976), Check on the Road (1971), Ordinary Fascism (1965), as well as contemporary paintings Burnt by the Sun 2 (2010), "Franz + Polina" (2006).
