The essence of entrepreneurship is the willingness to work and make mistakes

The talent to conduct their own business was searched by many in the difficult early years of the collapse of the USSR. A lot of people were burnt. Myths that a business owner can just come and put money in his pocket were debunked for several years. A businessman is a person who often has to work without rest, if the case requires it. And it usually requires such victims. And people began to think about the essence of entrepreneurship. And here it is worth turning to Western sources, since they have been developing this topic for quite some time.

The essence of entrepreneurship is the overcoming of difficulties of various kinds in the process of introducing innovations and attempts to turn knowledge into a measurable quantity of economic goods. That is, it is the practice of introducing theoretical knowledge. The entrepreneur conducts his business, risking his own resources first. Although in serious business, it can also be about the money of investors. The essence of small business is that an individual takes on not very big risks, but the profit is not very big. There are exceptions, for example, the company described in the book "ReWork" (it consists of about a dozen people and has colossal sales). But, as a rule, very high incomes are the lot of very large businesses or associations.

The essence of entrepreneurship is also associated with a special quality - financial wit. This ability to intuitively feel in which sphere there are means where people can and want to spend money. Again, this feeling helps to move away from the area where a crisis is projected. People tend to overestimate their quality, so from time to time there are unusual and often negative events (I recommend the book "Black Swan" on this topic). Nevertheless, quality is not a phantom, it's just a special sensitivity to economic changes, observed in a few people.

The talent to business has no more than 7% of people. Entrepreneurs are much less than people who can be artists, writers or even managers. The concept and essence of entrepreneurship is sometimes incorrectly narrowed to the ability to take risks. But this is also the quality of the responsible manager. Recent research also highlights a special category - internal entrepreneurship. This is a reformist activity within a large and rigid enterprise. That is, formally this is not the beginning of a new business, which is often associated with the essence of entrepreneurship.

A born entrepreneur is distinguished by the ability to create original systems and structures for a specific business project, be it a start-up or reform of excessively rigid structures within already existing organizations.

Business, which creates an entrepreneur, can be of different scales. Perhaps, only one person will be busy, and that is a part-time job. But, probably, a lot of jobs will be created. In any case, any project is a manifestation of an invisible entrepreneurial spirit, whose modern experts consider the most important in the success of the matter.

The spirit of entrepreneurship is related to the ability to learn from mistakes (better than strangers) and with a tendency not to give up in difficult situations. And look for opportunities even when all the standard ways have shown their inefficiency.

Speaking about the personal qualities of entrepreneurship, it should be mentioned that a successful businessman can long coexist with a sense of discomfort and uncertainty. The more such "patience", the higher the income on average. The main motivation for a person who is capable of creating a high-level business is the desire to become independent and achieve the planned results.

So business is not for lazy people, but for people who are ready to work and make mistakes.
