The drug "Diprosalik" (ointment), according to many people is quite effective anti-inflammatory, antipruritic agent for external use. The advantages of the drug include its ability to quickly absorb and moisturize the skin. Active components of the drug "Diprosalik" - betamethasone dipropionate and salicylic acid.

The drug is a combined remedy used in dermatology. Characterizing the action of the drug "Diprosalik" (ointment), the instruction indicates antimicrobial, anti-allergic and keratolytic properties.

Betamethasone dipropionate is a fluorinated synthetic glucocorticosteroid. This component has antipruritic, anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effect.

With topical application, salicylic acid also has an antimicrobial (bactericidal), keratolytic, fungicidal (antifungal) effect. The component softens the dry, flaky parts of the skin, thus contributing to a deeper penetration of betamethasone. Thus, in the complex, two substances activate the restoration of the protective skin environment.

In the course of clinical studies, a high therapeutic efficacy of the drug "Diprosalik" was established for squamous, dry dermatoses sensitive to corticosteroids, as well as for psoriasis.

Indications

The "Diprosalik" medication is recommended for the relief, reduction of inflammatory manifestations in hyperkeratics, dry dermatoses, which show sensitivity to the effects of glucocorticosteroids. Indications include diseases such as: flat lichen, neurodermatitis, dermatitis (atopic), psoriasis. The medicine is applied for eczema (coin-like), eczematous and seborrheic dermatitis, dyshidrosis.

It is recommended for use twice a day (in the evening and in the morning). Apply it to the affected areas with a thin layer.

Overdose

Prolonged use of the drug "Diprosalik" can provoke oppression of the pituitary-adrenal system, leading to the development of adrenal insufficiency. Probably also the emergence of hypercorticism (an overabundance of the hormone of the adrenal glands), including Cushing's disease.

In such cases, symptomatic treatment is performed. As a rule, hypercorticoid manifestations of an acute nature are reversible. Correction of electrolyte balance is carried out (if necessary). If a chronic toxic effect develops, the drug "Diprosalic" is gradually canceled.

Contraindications

The drug "Diprosalik" does not recommend the instruction for skin tuberculosis, hypersensitivity to the components of the remedy, untreated fungal skin lesions.

Due to the fact that the safety and efficacy of the drug is not established during pregnancy and lactation, the drug is administered only on the advice and under the supervision of a specialist.

Adverse Reactions

To the negative manifestations when using the drug "Diprosalik" the instruction refers to hypopigmentation, acne, hypertrichosis, folliculitis, dry and irritated skin, itching, burning sensation. In addition, in some cases, allergic contact or perioral dermatitis may develop . In the case of using occlusive dressings, there is a risk of sweating, skin atrophy, secondary infection, maceration.
